In what order should I be reading Senyuu? I’ve been a fan for years! But I’m not sure whether or not there was a hiatus...? Do you know what happened, or was it just the reader I was using that hasn’t updated the manga correctly all this time? Thank you!
I don’t believe there was ever exactly a Senyuu. hiatus - I think that Haruhara has consistently released Senyuu. over these past few years. But- there have been hiatuses with scanlation. There was a while after Battlebrave dropped it near the end of 2018 (I think?) that there was no scanlator, until Loli Soul picked it up for a while.
Also, currently, if you’re reading Senyuu. on any site that isn’t mangadex then that site has ripped and stolen scanlations without permission. Because of that, posting may also be delayed - last I checked a lot of aggregators are behind on some Senyuu. content, and I remember Main Quest chapters took a couple days to get ripped when I first starting posting them at least.
And here’s my recommended reading order for Senyuu. I hope it helps!
1. Senyuu. Webcomic Season/Volume 1 - The main story. Alternatively
(a) Watch both seasons of the anime - It fully adapts webcomic season 1.
(b) Read Senyuu. Main Quest Part 1 - it’s the same plot as webcomic season 1, but slightly expanded in parts and in manga format instead of webcomic format.
2. Senyuu. Alba-Ross Part and Foyfoy-Rudolf Part - Prequels to the main story, but contain spoilers for Season 1.
3. Senyuu. Webcomic Season/Volume 2 - The main story, continued. Alternatively:
(a) Read Senyuu. Main Quest Part 2 or well once I finish scanlating it oh god it’s been a month since I posted a chapter Same plot as webcomic season 2, but expanded and in manga format like Main Quest Part 1.
4. Senyuu Webcomic. Season/Volume 3, Season/Volume 4, Senyuu+/Volume 5, F5/Volume 6 - The main story, continued. (Note that you can skip Senyuu+ if all you care about is the plot, but personally I wouldn’t recommend that as the chapters are very fun.)
5. Senyuu. SQ - An alternate story with the same characters, though with some personality differences too.
6. Haruhara Robinson Channel - Contains a continuation of Senyuu. SQ and extra stories for the webcomic version. Spoiler-heavy.
