Icarus/ Gego
"Icarus" Getou Suguru
"Helios" Gojou Satoru
Icarus sought to conquer the sky, but before he could reach the sun, his wax wings melted. The young man fell, carrying his fragile, unrealistic dreams to the bottom of the deep sea...

A few thoughts: I like Getou, but I don't deny that he's incredibly weird. I'm not good at analyzing emotions, whether real people or fictional characters, so it's difficult for me to interpret Getou's emotional development. He's a very contradictory character, so he'll likely be quite out of character (OOC). As for Gojou, I feel like no matter how I write it, I can't make him OOC, so I'll just skip that part.

"...Before they took flight, Daedalus gave Icarus a final, stern warning: 'Son, do not be arrogant. This invention is small, meant only for our escape. Do not become complacent; the Gods are watching. If you fly too high, the sun will melt the wax, and you will fall.'"
Icarus had agreed. But once he tasted the sky, once he left the labyrinth behind, the thrill of the ascent swallowed his caution. Arrogance bloomed in his chest. Only Gods were meant to fly, yet here he was, conquering the heavens. He began to wonder: What if I go higher? Can I reach the palace of the Gods? Can I ascend even further than Zeus?
He flew higher and higher, deaf to his fatherās frantic cries from below. When he reached the peak, the sunlight was dazzling. He wanted to witness the glory of the sun god, Helios, up closeāonly to realize, with a jolt of horror, that the wax on his wings was liquefying.
Icarus was terrified, but regret is a luxury the falling cannot afford.
In an instant, his wings disintegrated. He plummeted from the heavens and vanished into the abyss.
Foolish humanity, Getou thought. Forever submerged in the depths for a futile dream, never to see the light again.
But wasn't I just as foolish, yearning to conquer that endless blue sky?
Getou sighed, closing the book. He reached out toward Gojo, his eyes clouded with a profound, quiet sadness.
"I really... want to touch you."
"Satoru."
...
"Suguru. Are you alright?"
A simple question.
But in that moment, Getou Suguru knew he could no longer stand beside Gojo Satoru as "the strongest."
The "Strongest" were no longer a pair. They were now just... one.
Since Rikoās death, Getou had been rotting from the inside out. As a sorcerer, his duty was to protect the weak. But was that ideal still valid when the "weak" were the ones doing the killing? When they didn't even want protection?
Was Getou jealous of Gojo? Yes, though he would never admit it to a living soul.
It was the suffocating helplessness of watching his closest friend move forward at light speed while he remained stagnant, stuck in the mud. It was the corrosive self-doubt, the realization that the foundation of his morality was crumbling.
But more than anything, it was the loneliness.
I want to be with you.
But you don't need me anymore.
Like Icarus, Getou yearned to conquer the sky. But unlike the mortals of legend, Getou was painfully self-aware. He knew he could never reach that vast expanse. The very thought of being on par with the "Sky" was a joke.
I want to stand beside you.
But youāll be fine without me, wonāt you?
...
The conversation with Yuki Tsukumo was a bomb buried in his heart.
The death of Yu Haibara was the trigger.
The sight of Mimiko and Nanako was the final straw that broke the camel's back.
And then, Getou Suguru exploded. The world turned upside down.
In September 2009, Getou Suguru was tasked with exorcising a curse responsible for disappearances in Village XX. Five days later, the bodies of 112 villagers were discovered. Analysis confirmed they had been slaughtered by Jurei SÅjutsu (Spirit Manipulation).
Getou Suguru fled. He was expelled, branded a criminal, and sentenced to death as a Jusoshi(Curse User).
....
The last person to find out about the betrayal was Gojo.
...
The sky enveloped everything, embracing, imprisoning, and occupying Getouās entire vision. Even when he clamped his eyes shut, the piercing blue of his lover's eyes haunted his mind.
Loving Gojo had become a habit, a part of his very biology. He was like an addict: he knew it was killing him, he knew it was wrong, but he couldn't stop.
He wore a mask of self-righteousness. But in that dark ideal of his, how much was for the sorcery world, and how much was... for Satoru?
That mask lasted until the very end., while the sun burned him to ash.
There was truly no saving him.
...
"Do you have any last words?"
"No matter what anyone says, I still hate those monkeys. But I never hated anyone from the school." Suguruās voice was barely a whisper. "Itās just that, in a world like this, I can no longer laugh from the bottom of my heart."
"Suguru⦠.- .. ⦠ā¦. .. - . .-. ..- ā-"
Suguruās eyes widened. That wasn't something a man like Gojo Satoru should ever say.
"Haha... at least curse me a little in my final moments..."
Suguru laughed, staring deeply into those eyes that were about to lose their light, the deep blue of a sky he could never reach.
And then, Icarusās wax wings melted. He plummeted.
...
The god "Helios" looked down at Icarus and was instantly captivated. The boy was beautiful, reckless, and wore pure white wings. His eyes were fixed on the sun as if he truly believed he could touch the heavens.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
The cold heart of the god beat with a new rhythm. Will he reach me? Can he? Yesāfor I will bow before him. He shall stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the sky.
Helios reined in his horses, stalling the sun chariot for a fleeting moment. As the young man flew closer, the god reached out to embrace him:
"You have conquered the sky. You have conquered me. My Icarus!"
But fate is a cruel master. Just as the godās fingers were about to brush against him, the heat of the sun melted the wax and feathers. Icarus was dragged down to the bottom of the deep, dark sea. Rain fell upon the waves, unable to warm a body already frozen in the abyss.
...
Satoru didn't understand. Why did Suguru choose betrayal? Why did he cling to those twisted ideals? Why did he never tell Satoru the truth?
Why did you leave me behind?
We were the strongest. If there is no "us," then what does "Gojo Satoru" even mean?
It hurt. The pain was so agonizing that even the Reverse Cursed Technique couldn't dull the ache.
Please, Suguru... don't leave me. Drag me down with you.
...
Gojo wanted to go back. Back to a time where he could hold Suguru close, kiss his lips, and chase away the loneliness in his eyes. To be the "Two Strongest" again.
The 28-year-old Gojo Satoru had to keep moving forward, like Helios steering his chariot without looking back. But the 17-year-old Satoru would have jumped into the ocean with Suguru, holding his hand and whispering:
"We are the strongest."
We are the strongest together.
"Suguru."
...
"...Yes, Satoru."
Gojo woke up. The classroom was empty. The students were outside training, leaving the old teacher alone in the silence.
"So, Suguru... did you curse me?"
"Haha..."
"Love really is the most twisted curse of all."
And the sun sank to the bottom of the sea, taking with it all the light and the blue from a sky that promised never to fall.
