the halls were filled with quiet , save for the muffled sound of professors voices , coming from behind closed classroom doors . lucien walked , books in hand , through the hallway of the university . today , class wasn’t for him . having made the decision to not attend , and to instead find a quiet corner of the grand castle . a muggle device was neatly tucked in his pocket , a walkman , and headphones were stretched over his ears , with music , from the cassette , consuming his senses . the muggle world intrigued lucien , but the only time he had ever indulged in that curiosity , was in music . leaving the building , lucien then began the short journey to his safe haven . gravel crunched under foot and the brisk , winter , air nipped at his skin , making him pull his scarf just a little bit tighter . rounding the corner , dark eyes fell on the figure of another , then narrowed immediately . this place was his sanctuary , not theirs . what were they doing there ? jaw tensed , and lucien quickly clicked the side button on the walkman , pausing the music . pulling the headphones down , he then let them settle around his neck , piercing eyes focused on the other . he didn ’ t say a word .
