This time last year, i was the least excited for my birthday. I just turned 16 by then. Passing by a very rough time, mostly alone. Its been a year and a lot of things had changed. I lost so much and gained so little, but thats what life is. Its give and take, and most of the time its not kind to you. I never expected i could last this long in life. I struggled so much with myself and my surroundings that i thought i would surely end myself soon, but i was wrong. Im not and i dont think will ever be completely recovered from my wounds and nasty thoughts, but i did my best to hold on. Just to hold on. To anything, everything. My whole existence may not matter to a lot of people but i manage to survive yet another year, with lots of emotions. I am still struggling and i may never be free from this but i wanted to be. I want to have hope now, even if i have to decieve my mind and lie to myself, i want to have determination to keep on going with this shitty life i lived. I want to live the life i dreamed of, and its tiring, and sometimes it doesnt feel like its worth it, but i keep on climbing this neverending mountain. Because i want to see the outcome of all of this crap ive been through. I want to see the result of my pain and misery. I want to completely live my life until death takes me by the hand, greeted me like an old friend. I understand that no one will know how it feels like to pass this life as me, and i will never expect anyone too. But today is my birthday, its a milestone, a reminder that i am still here today. Still standing. Alive. And i want to be proud of myself for once.
