“C’mon. It’s already been like.. five minutes. You can’t be THAT mad.” He replied, leaning forward to press a kiss to the other’s neck. “I already said I was sorry.”

With a light chuckle and a shrug, Prince finishes his last rep, putting the dumbbell down and stretching. “Maybe I was.” He says. “All those muscles on display what do you expect me to do?” Prince takes a drink of his water and nods his head. “Yeah, but I’m already finished, you always move slow.”

“Do you think I could spend the night here?”

   He was almost in awe as he took in the sight of the other. Russell wasn’t doing anything he hadn’t done before, but it always amazed Drew to watch him at work. He nodded his head at what he said next. “Hell yeah it will. I’ll make sure you get a lot of that.” He assured.

      The warlock watched the boy’s every move, and listened to every word that left his lips. Magnus found himself thinking about those lips constantly, ever since what happened at the Shadowhunter’s failed attempt of a wedding. Still, he wasn’t going to push anything. Things had to happen naturally, not forced.

                “Well, you’re welcome here any time you want. And                    I mean it, any time.”

    He said before slowly handing the other the glass of wine with a hopeful little smirk on his lips.

     He couldn’t help but think about the kiss.  That was all in his mind.  Lately it was the kiss that mattered.  Eyes glanced up at the other, taking the glass of wine that was in Magnus’ hand.  He gave him a soft smile before taking a sip.  After that he set it down and let himself relax.

     ‘I’m not seeking anything from you,’ he cups his mouth into his hand and coughs, clears his throat and continues. ‘Just like you said — you’re twenty-five years old. You’re still young. Trust me when I tell you that true love does exist. I’m practically as old as time. I’ve witnessed people falling in love. I’ve been in love countless times. Yes, it hurts when it ends, but leading a life without loving or allowing yourself to be loved, is like living your life without enjoying a single drop of water.’ The giant sat himself down, sighing as he did so, his back resting against the trunk of a tree. Eyes swarmed across the petite figure for a while, and then swiftly turned away to look at their surroundings. ‘You shouldn’t lose hope just because your life hasn’t turned out like you wanted it to. I’m speaking from experience here. I’ve tried taking the easy way out of feeling all the pain and loneliness. Didn’t really take.’

“The definitive article- I like that,” Lucan said in a cool tone that belied the warmth he was feeling. In truth, he was getting quite attached to the attractive blonde. He’d found himself thinking of him often. He would wonder how the young man was doing, how he was feeling. Most damningly; he’d wonder if Quinn was cycling through the same thoughts- that bobbed up in the tumult of his mind again and again like flotsam in a wide grey sea.  “Mission accomplished, I see.” He chuckled finally, and loosened the more distance they made from campus. Loosened enough to use his free hand to stroke Quinn’s shoulder. “I hope you’ll forgive me for not taking you out to dinner. But I think you’ll like what you see back home,” he said, again- deceptively light in a tone like casual conversation when it was weighted with so much more.

a hint of a scowl behind the metal of the can, he takes another swig before setting it down. harrison wasn’t exactly on good terms with his brother recently, but he daren’t let elijah know. sibling rivalry can grow contention when there is more than one family involved. ❛  well, you’re welcome here. you’ve certainly … grown up.  ❜
