A Crow Covered by Vails

HII!! oh wow, ok this is a loaded question. i havent hammered wverything down yet but i do have quite a few things i am adamant on changing. im doing this for fun in my spare time to practice character design and writing characters, so i havent gotten very far yet. HOWEVER.

not only is the au a “what if”, it is a complete rewrite. from clan culture to large events, even to killing off characters who in canon do live longer.. a ton of quality of life changes. more specifically however, with tigerclaw becoming firepaw’s mentor, it does affect decisions firepaw makes as well as tigerclaw’s own decisions. this tigerclaw is not heartless, he is the sensible good leader we see him being to shadowclan in canon. he was NOT a bad leader, his leadership qualities are great! with a few changes to his backstory and firepaw being the huge smoosh that he is, tigerclaw is a bit softer in this au (especially towards kits/apprentices). for now, here are rhe storybeats i can give without spoiling anyrhing major if i do end up creating more art to tell the story:

firepaw is apprenticed to tigerclaw. firepaw and tigerclaw bond and share their thoughts on clan life. both see it as very flawed

oakheart and redtail’s deaths cause bluestar to slowly begin to spiral as more and more bad things happen around her. because of this, thunderclan’s leadership os affected. there is no code in place that allows leaders to retire or to be challenged. the clan goes along w questionable decisions that end in casualties

tigerclaw is sick of standing by and watching the clan crumble and more cats die as the days go on because no one wants to question bluestar or take charge. he blames the deputies for not doing anything about it. tigerclaw attempts his assasination, and succeeds.

The lost clans is an old storyline I made up about 2 years ago, basing it off a what-if a major disaster took place and ruined the clans.

It follows multiple cats, to leaders to kits. There’s no real main clan or cat, just a bunch of perspectives when something horrific happens, and how the clans need to work together if they want to keep their ways…

When writing this 2 years back I did do my own oc’s but I thought it would be fun if I actually let people submit their own oc’s! (No irl cats cause the trauma these cats will be put through is something entirely)

RULES

Leaders, medicine cats and deputies are off limits due to me already having them picked out.

Your allowed to make your characters related to each others or submit pairs, I am also open to some characters that I have already made to have relatives that survived but that’s tough one. You’d have to ask permission first because some cats have character development due to their entire family dying in the disaster.

Making kitty pets, loners, Tribe cats and just any other type of cats are allowed! But if they are already outside the clan, don’t expect them to be accepted. I may just have your character be met once and travel for a few chapters before exiting for good.

For the tribe cats, remember their customs! They might also leave even if they are similar because they don’t feel comfortable!

Your cats ARE allowed to have deceased relatives due to the fall but may not be mentioned other then in passing (If you want, draw their dead relatives and I may have them remembering them sometimes)

Your cats are GOING to have a LARGE chance of dying at any point or being mauled, badly injured, getting sick and more. If you’re uncomfortable with this, please don’t submit a character.

If you partner with another tumblr creator to create multiple living cats who are related, that is fine. Just write down dynamics and such and I’ll do my best to keep two personalities but I’m not perfect. Their personalities and relationships may change over time specially due to STRESS and DANGEROUS situations.

Please note that this comic is scattered between FIVE CLANS and OUTSIDERS combined! Your oc’s may not be shone a lot at once but scattered over time!

You can make MULTIPLE characters for this story but that doesn’t mean all will be added. A good portion of cats died during this meaning the clans even as one won’t big

Please note their original clan before the disaster as that helps dictate their lives.
