Crochet whoniverse by ilwin

Romana II., "Destiny of the Daleks" outfit. Middle pictures for the coat to be seen better. I decided to leave out some details (i.e. the trousers has some sort of braces, but it's only somewhat to be seen in the shots of Romana running and it's not quite clear what is going on there so I just left it out because it wouldn't be seen like this anyway), but generally I'm quite satisfied how she turned out and standing beside her Doctor, she actually looks better than him at the end, I think :D (btw making second Romana means I finished Fourth Doctor era, woohoo! :)) )

Mel Bush (Time and the Rani outfit) is finished, which makes also Sixth's and Seven's eras in crochet finished. Well, yes, except for the Master, but I'm not sure I'll ever do Ainley!Master. Anyway, I think she turned out fine and I'm pretty satisfied with how she turned out :)

Finally finished another Doctor who doll, this time it's Chang Lee from Doctor Who movie (or The Enemy Within which is the correct title :) ) I think he turned out quite fine :) I can't take picture of him with his Doctor because Eight already traveled away from me to @cookiepianos so at least one picture with another companion from the movie - Grace :)

It turned out quite ok, though much better than it looked for at the beginning of making hair. Moreover I had troubles with making pictures, this is the best I could do (some fiddling with brigthness and colours in computer), so I hope there’s at least something to be seen on the pictures...

Anyway I’m quite happy how she turned out :))).

So after almost another year finished another Doctor Who companion, this time Grace from The Enemy Within (or Doctor Who movie). I can’t take a picture of her with her Doctor, because Eighth Doctor already traveled away from me to @cookiepianos but maybe somewhen :). I admit I gone lazy this time and left out many details (like the corset upper part of the dress and its lines or heels (but she stands quite firmly just like that thanks to skirts so I’ve thought I could leave it like this. The shoes doesn’t look right anyway because it should be open sandals but I made them like court shoes (but without heels lol)). I didn’t leave out the earrings though (though they’re hardly to be seen on the pictures lol) Anyway I think she ended up quite ok, though I’m afraid she doesn’t look much like herself...

I know what you mean and yes, it’s a bit like time travel :)

I’m glad to hear that then! :) Some people seem not to understand that though (or basically don’t like look of the older ways to do things and so in general, but that’s alright, people can’t like everything I guess) so I felt I should warn you, sorry %D

Thanks :). Well some people don’t like classic who very much. It has different format of the stories. One story is usually at least two episodes long (usually four I’d say, but there are also much longer ones), and it has slower pace. And of course some people don’t like the old look of it (i.e. studio shooting of almost everything or everything in early years, look of the classic who monsters, the special effects etc.). For me it’s one of the things I love in classic who, but not everyone does. Just so you’d be warned if you get to watch some classic who one day. Sorry if you have seen something already so you know all this :)

K9 is my favourite too :). And the serials when he first appears (in classic who) is one of my most favourite stories :). 

Almost one year after finishing Sara Kingdom, finally another classic who companion. Poor Romana ended up a lot less glamorous than her real self but not that catastrophic how it looked during the process. She’s still better than poor Susan I think. I originally wanted to make her the winter coat-y thing she wears on Riboos, but I didn’t find any suitable yarn or the way how could I make that fluffy look so I gave up. Also gave up on the hairclip(s) and bracelet she wears though I wanted to make them. As well as the Key to time fragments detector. Heh, maybe... later. (uh and maybe I should take better picture in better light but... eh, probably won’t. Sorry)

(note to her outfit: her uniform is said to be brown. When starting to make her I was looking for reference pictures and there are not just any colour ones but hardly ANY at all, so an usual joy of mad crochetter here. Anyway I always imagined the uniform either black or dark blue (and also saw few fanarts when she had dark blue uniform and liked it) and decided to make it in dark blue, because all black wouldn’t look nice and dark blue also has (at least to me) sort of a police look to her, which she is in a way. I learned about the uniform being in fact brown from @unwillingadventurer (who else right?) and I think it was still before I actually started making it but I didn’t change it, because I liked the vision of the uniform being in dark blue better. So yeah. Not quite colour accurate but what can you do without proper references and no colour references at all, right?)
