“I think from now on, I’m not going to hold myself responsible for my own food. I’ll hop on Seamless and just pay the guy when he shows up at the door. That way, there’s no possible way I can fuck up anything, right? Good thinkin’, Eli.”

“And hey, you can just stay in your pajamas instead of going out and getting the food yourself!”

“I ‘dunno. Maybe a person that makes bank, this time of year because of it?” Bliss chides, almost mocking the taller blond’s tone. “Hey, man– the more you know.”

Cristine wrinkled up her nose, shrinking back a bit from the other girl. “What do you mean ‘make bank’?”

“I think I caused a lot more damage than what I fixed. It was embarrassing as fuck, like it wouldn’t end. I’d stuff the cups back in and get them to stay for all of two seconds before they all launched into the air again. I should’ve gone the whole nine yards by wearing clown makeup.”

Cristine giggled lightly at the thought. “As much as I don’t want you to be embarrassed...I have to admit that does paint an interesting picture.” She snorted out a laugh, then quickly covered her mouth and shook her head a bit, clearly trying to restrain herself.

“Well, here’s a little holiday fact for you to chew on– suicide attempts increase during the holiday season. Bah Humbug.”

Cristine’s eyes grew so wide they literally felt as though they were going to pop out of her head. “How can you-- why would you even say something like that?” Cristine’s eyes flitted around the coffee shop, almost as if she was looking for the reactions of the other patrons to make sure she wasn’t just hearing things. “Who just---casually says that?”

“Just spent the last twenty minutes of my life trying to fix the cup dispenser at Subway. All I wanted was some Fuze raspberry iced tea and the task of achieving that turned out to be a lot more complicated than it should. I half expect the headquarters to bill me for all of the cups I dropped on the floor and had to throw out. Welp.”

“I think they should pay you for fixing their machine for them!”

“Mocha Latte it is. I know this really great coffee shop in midtown and it’s surprisingly not crowded.” He suggested. 

“Sounds fun!” Cristine smiled brightly, then shrugged her shoulders a bit. “I don’t mind crowded, though. Sometimes, you meet the nicest people at coffee shops.”

Bliss glares up at the blond from her phone. “I’m sorry– why are you still talking to me, as if I care?”

Cristine frowned again, and this time, it stuck. “I’m just trying to bring some cheer.” She let out a small huff, dropping her arms to the side. “I’m not hurting anyone.”

“…It’s not even Thanksgiving, yet. Are you fucking DEMENTED?”

Cristine’s expression immediately faltered, her lips turning down into a frown. “Well umh--” She hesitated, at a loss for words for a moment, before attempting a weak smile. “I would have offered out turkey legs, but I felt like candy canes were easier to carry.”

“Oh-kay… it’s literally, like, WAY too early for me to be dealing with this bubbly, kumbaya bullshit.” A pause. “Order your coffee, and fuck off. Like, immediately.” Bliss says in monotone to the person ahead of her in line.

“I umh-- I’m sorry I just...” Cristine glanced down at the bundle of candy canes in her hand. “I just thought that the holidays are almost here and everyone likes candy canes, right?” She held up the treats, giving the other girl a weak smile.

“It’s rare that I have free time these days but my daughter is at dance and I don’t have rehearsal today so would you like to go grab some coffee? I should do some laundry but I need a break.” 

“I was just thinking about how much I’d love a mocha latte.” Cristine responded with a soft smile.

I thought I saw (Taylor Swift) in (Brooklyn), but it was just (Cristine Matthews). The (25) year old is an (elementary school teacher). She identifies as a (heterosexual cisfemale). Most people around New York think she’s (optimistic), but if you catch them on the wrong day, they may come off as a bit (dramatic).

lily has to rethink what cristine says for a moment, her mind immediately wandering to a different type of ‘little’ when she says the word. obviously she has a bit of a nsfw mind when it came to everyday situations. “well, i’m sure that’s true, kids never lie y’know. they’ll tell you straight up if you’re ugly or if you’re beautiful, so you should trust their judgement on that!” she says with a small laugh, trying her best to ignore thoughts of cristine and an actual little. “that sounds like a hectic day, though, it must be tough bein’ around so many kids.” 

Cristine’s eyebrows furrowed a bit. She could tell the girl got lost in her thoughts for a moment, and she wondered briefly what was going on in the other’s head. At the girl’s comment, however, Cristine let out a short laugh, nodding her head a bit. “You’re right, they don’t. I think it might be one of the reasons I like them so much?” The blonde paused, considering her words for a moment. “I’ve never really been a blunt person. So when I see someone who is...even if they are just a little kid, I kind of have a sort of respect for that.” She shrugged a bit at the girl’s next comment. “It can be. But I have a really great class this year and things with them are almost always more fun than anything else.”

                 “i believe, at this point, everyone in this known galaxy is less dramatic than the real housewives, kardashians, and love and hip hop.”

“Do you think they’re really like that, though? I mean...the people who are on those shows? Surely that can’t be how they act in real life?”

“you heard me.. demon children.. new mission.. you’re next.”

“I don’t-- whatever you say, Alex.”

“Wait, does Go-Gurt have actual fruit in it? I thought it was just like… sugar milk sludge? Whatever, it doesn’t matter. It’s good they missed you, though, right? Even if they didn’t have a good sub or whatever. It’s gotta make you feel good. Even with the strawberry-banana throw up.” 

“You know, now that you mention it...I’m not sure? Between you and me, it did cross my mind that maybe she just...psyched herself out and made herself throw up from thinking that she had ate banana? I don’t know. You’re right, though, I definitely felt a distinct feeling of accomplishment when they practically bombarded me with hugs when I got back.”
