IT'S TIME FOR CRIME

Diable: “All I know is that I have a lil’ appetite for food right now.”

Crewel climbs up Diable’s jacket and onto his shoulders.

Crewel:  “O-Of couse not!  I came here for dancin’, and I sure ain’t leavin’ before then!”

He leaned over and perched on Diable’s shoulder, his hood holding onto the other for support as he scanned ahead of them with a squint.

Diable: "All I know is that I have a lil' appetite for food right now."

Crewel climbs up Diable’s jacket and onto his shoulders.

Yuko:  I see you also chose Lunala for your mask.  Do you also have an interest in stars perhaps?  You must see them quite well on that island of yours, hm?

“Absolutely the case!”

There went any sense of nerves for the moment-Nathalie super enthusiastic to have been asked such a thing. Of course once she registered her sudden change in volume she cleared her throat and played it off.

“But-uh, yeah. Love stars, astronomy that whole thing. Don’t wanna boast but the island absolutely has a great view from all angles-Mossdeep and the Hokulani Observatory wished they had such a dark zone as us!”

Yuko:  Oh, I can only imagine…  The view must be incredible, night after night…. You must be able to see nearly every star and galaxy in that sky.

Yuko:  Do you have a favorite constellation?  Galaxy?  Planet?

There’s a more casual laugh that follows afterwards, Nathalie losing the last bit of nerves she had in the situation and acting a bit more like herself. She immediately went off on a small tangent, waving her hands around as she spoke and eyes hardly visible from the genuine grin on her face.

“Orion’s always been a favorite since I was younger, it was one of the first that I learned to spot in the sky and everything clicked from that point on. The Magellanic Clouds are a touch hard to spot but I always liked finding them even if they’re a bit on the tiny side, annnnd Jupiter is just my absolute favorite in regards to planets-absolutely wild to think a planet could be so large it alters the path of rogue asteroids! We ought to be grateful for that giant.”

“Had it not been for tonight, I…well, I honestly wouldn’t have taken you as the astronomy type for some reason. It’s not a grand surprise, but I just don’t really run across anyone who knows more than the basics, if that makes sense?”

“No no, that makes sense.  It can be difficult to find a kindred spirit.  I must say that I’m quite surprised myself.  I didn’t take you for a triple threat:  Pokemon champion, island chief, AND astronomer,” she says with a little laugh.

“I’m rather fond of Cassiopeia myself.  A smaller constellation, but it brought me much comfort over the years.  And while I’ve only been able to see it a few times, I always enjoy seeing the Andromeda Galaxy.  It's beautiful in its simplicity.  Jupiter is a classic favorite, and while I appreciate its atomosphere, Uranus will remain my favorite.”

She seems a little bit embarrassed as she catches herself rambling, a faint tinge to her cheeks.

Crewel trots after the larger ‘mon until he can tug the edge of the other’s jacket

Crewel:  Are ya leavin’...?  Ain’t ya gonna say goodbye....?

Diable: "But this is a promise! We'll meet again, Mister Crewel.~"
