I am trying to get back into my first fandom, Transformers, after being MIA for, ohhhhh...35+ years or so? I remember watching the original G1 cartoon when I was a kid, and random episodes of 'Transformers: Armada' when it came out in 2002, but it's been a beloved moot of mine, @morgue-ratt, who's been well and truly responsible for my journey 'back home' and I am loving every moment.
It's also being a rather exhausting labor of love, because I have 42 YEARS worth of characters, origin stories and lore to try to wade through and I keep getting bogged down by things like 'this character used to be this character and has changed names 3 times and forms 8 times and he was bad and is now good OH he's bad now and he's got 5 different origin stories...' and my fuck, how do you make sense of it?
It's a very good thing I've already fallen in love for 9 more characters, because that love will help keep me focused and determined to learn more about them and their world.
My 'reverse harem' of 'Sexy Space Robots' so far...
Starscream - Whiny drama queen backstabber with an immeasurable ego and insufferably sexy smug smirk, and my very first f/o EVER (seriously, I've loved him since I was a child)
Skywarp - Dumbass flirty pervy himbo prankster with a hidden soft side. Call him a good boy and he'll go to pieces.
Thundercracker - Midlife crisis-having screenwriter. Would write MegOp fanfics. Enjoys walks on the beach, watching sunsets together and dogs. Letting him introduce you to the 'Mile High Club' is a must.
Soundwave - Single DILF with kids.
Rumble & Frenzy - The 'kids'. Adorable dumbasses. Menaces. Double pains in my ass, but at least I don't have to shrink them down to size to, um, 'accommodate them'...
Tarn - Mass murdering sociopathic drug-addicted Megatron fanboy. Has the ability to literally sing other Transformers to death. 100% would let him woo me with a serenade. Yandere-coded and does not play well with others. Lovingly stroke his facial scars to hear him *moan*
Drift - Former baddie who fell in love with the samurai ideology. Is into denial and shibari. A++ aftercare. DO NOT LEAVE HIM ALONE WITH TARN 😱😱😱
Ratchet - Medic with a grumpy sarcastic bedside manner to cover for all the trauma he's gone through from having to watch friends die in his arms. 100% needs a hug. Would amusingly let me build a blanket nest inside his alt mode for guaranteed safe & comfy naps.
*SENATOR* Shockwave - NOT the 'homicidal purple streetlamp' most people are familiar with. Romantic, attentive, calm, quiet and will scoop me up and carry me off when Rumble & Frenzy get too rambunctious. I refuse to call him Shockwave...he is simply, 'my love'

2 DAYS LATER EDIT - I have an Autobot...PROWLing outside the hangar I keep my 'Sexy Space Robots' in, and FUCK, is he grumpy. Irritation levels at 110%.
It's time to be mean for, funsies. I think, I will keep the doors closed and make it rain. HARD. With random fireworks going off. And hail OOOOOOOooooo I will set 'The Kids' upon him! Chaos incarnate x2!
I just armed them with paintball guns, and the rain isn't washing it off. I have also adhered a smoke alarm with a dying battery somewhere upon his person, and it's letting out a shrill BEEEEEEEP every 30 seconds.
