So there is an upcoming Super Moon, a mix between Blood Moon and Wolf Moon, a ‘Super Blood Wolf Moon’! This will happen on January 20 and 21 and it means it’s my time of the month to paint a moon. This moon takes its name because she is supposed to be large, bright and a reddish glow. For inspiration I only took the reddish glow because I’m still feeling a strong connection with the flowers I am painting in my current collection. Happy winter solstice! The shortest day of the year with an upcoming full moon: Cold Moon. And here she is: ‘12 Moons’, a moon that contains the 12 moons of the year. Someone contacted me via DM because wanted to buy the first Moon I painted, but it was sold very fast. After learning that she was also a Mexican living in London and loved for the moon as much as I do, I said ‘OK, I’ll paint it for you’, and here it is! Big paintings deserve a pause for coffee ☕️🌸 After the gorgeous gardens I visited during the bank holiday, I came to the studio ready to paint a big watercolor inspired in all the flowers I saw.
