You're Not Responsible For Other People's Feelings

Most of us have felt for our entire lives that our personal needs are weird and inconvenient to others. We need more space than other people. We need more time. We need more complexity and more depth. Because other people are often confused by these needs, or can even feel personally rejected in some way, we learn as children to compromise on them constantly. 

Instead of figuring out how to negotiate with others for what we need, we withdraw further into our inner world, attempting to meet all of our own needs there, totally on our own.

"our lungs are kinda like that too" and attaches a medical diagram of the lungs, where one lung is all the bronchioles and the other shows the lobes and cavities of the lungs. the way that the trachea leads into the bronchial tubes looks a lot like the images of the colorado river.

Minimalism is dead!!! Long live tacky extravagance, performative excess, artless luxury, and all forms of (in all caps, with each letter in a different fancy, eye-catching font) opulence for its own sake!!! Long live bad taste!!!
