Posting this here because I keep losing it. Honestly, I feel like the serving amounts are a little off. Realistically, I think the first one is only about 10-12 servings. I donāt know how youād get 14 out of a 6ā cake.
My hibiscus is going to bloom again sometime in the next week and a half or so. This is probably my second favorite flower, and I feel like itās also probably one of the few plants I own that I could get more of without adding too much extra work for myself.
I donāt think Iāll ever stop being amazed by all the different types of plants that can grow in this climate. I havenāt lived here my whole life, but I did spend my childhood here, and I still feel like Iāll never know if it was just me and my ālearning curveā in figuring out how to grow things, or if I really did notice climate change over the past 30 years. All I know is that I attempted to grow lemon trees in probably about 1992-1993 in this same area, but couldnāt even get them to sprout.
A few years ago, I found an old magazine article from 1989 or 1990 (my family saves everything, and I come from a long line of gardeners) that said this area was zone 7b. Iām not sure when the change happened, but weāre now considered zone 9a.
As long as the soil drains well, most citrus trees do well in this climate year around. Now that I know this, if I had a bigger yard, Iād definitely plant all those trees pictured above.
This is four of my nine birds that currently live with me.
I donāt really know what to post here or how to use this yet.
