Word count: 978

A soft knock makes you shoot up in your bed. You tip toe over to the door to not wake up anyone else in other dorms.

“Finally, what took you so long?” You open the door and we’re greeted with the face of your secret lover.

“Sorry, I had to wait for Barty and Evan to head to bed,” He shuts the door behind him softly.

You slowly walk over to him and he welcomes you with open arms.

“I missed you, I hate having to pretend we don’t know each other cause of your family,”

“I know sweetheart. I hate it too,”

He pulls you into a gentle kiss, his hands find their way to the side of your face. Your hands go to tangle in his hair. Your fingers gently tug at his curly black strands as he kisses down your neck and latches onto the pulse point under your jaw. You left out a soft breath that could be perceived as a moan.

You slowly back him up onto your bed, when his knees hit your bedframe you guide him to lie down. Without breaking the kiss, which now was mostly teeth and tongue, you straddle his waist.

“I love you,” You mumble while kissing down his neck and leaving little love bites on his collarbone.

You tug at the hem of his shirt asking permission to take it off.

“Use your words please,” Regulus says while holding your chin.

“Please Reg? I just wanna cuddle,” You start to lift the hem of his shirt over his head and he happily obliges.

When his shirt is finally off you spend your time kissing over his chest, the little freckles and scars. The once heated makeout turned into a sleepy one, it was late but you hadn’t seen him in days. You continued to leave little marks on his chest, neck, collar, etc. in return he did the same.

“You’re so pretty,” You mumble against his lips.

“I’m the pretty one? Are you sure?” He sits up straighter to get a good look at you. Your hair was tousled, lips red and plump from kissing and your eyes glossed over. Him on the other hand was ethereal, you could’ve sworn he was an angel sent down from heaven.

Before Regulus could get another word in you pulled him back into a fiery kiss. Your tongue nudged at his bottom lip gently asking permission to enter.

His grip on your thighs tightened, he rubbed soothing circles over the muscles. Your hands run up and down his chest, you tried pulling him closer but you were already as close as can be.

The kiss grew more desperate and urgent. Your hands reach for his belt buckle and he doesn’t stop you. You fiddle with it for a moment before he abruptly backs away.

“Shit what time is it?” He looks around at the clock in your dorm. It was already half past midnight.

“Do you have to go? Can’t you stay five more minutes?” You ask before getting off his lap as he frantically looks for his tie. He ends up grabbing the nearest one and puts it on.

“I’m sorry sweetheart, they’ll notice I’m gone soon. We can do this another day okay?” He gives you a kiss on the forehead before leaving.

As he leaves your dorm he sees his older brother, Sirius, leaving Remus’s dorm. His hair was wild looking and his neck was looking in a similar state to Regulus’s. Sirius, hearing a door close, looks over at Regulus. He couldn’t believe his eyes.

“Reg?! What are you doing in their dorm?”

“I could ask you the same thing, You and Lupin close friends?” Regulus says in a sarcastic tone.

“Something like that,” Sirius gives him a wink.

“Where’s your slytherin tie?” Sirius looks him up and down.

Regulus looks down only to realize he grabbed your tie and not his. He takes it off before stuffing it in his pocket.

“I lost it..”

“Are those hickeys?! Geez Reg were they hungry or something?!” Sirius leans closer to take a look at Regulus’s neck. Regulus quickly slapped his hand away from touching one of them.

“You didn’t see anything, don’t tell anyone, got it?” Regulus says with a pointed look.

“I don’t think I’ll even need to tell anyone,”

Regulus got back to his dorm room

“Where’d you go Reg?” Evan asks without looking up from whatever he was reading.

“A walk. Couldn’t sleep.”

Regulus quickly gets into pajamas but your tie slips out of his pocket. Barty sees the unfamiliar tie on the floor and picks it up. On the underside your initials were embroidered on the end.

“Why do you have their tie? Hey! Why do you look like you got in a fight?” Barty walks Regulus against a wall to corner him with questions.

“Oh my god! You two are totally shagging!” Barty practically screams.

“Shh keep it down, we’re not, I just stumbled upon the tie…”

Regulus yanks the tie out of Bartys hands and puts it into his trunk.

“Nothing's going on between us okay? Just let it go,” Regulus wasn’t actually angry, more so embarrassed.

“Fine geez, I’d expect you to be calm after getting laid,” Barty teases him with a wink before heading off to bed.

No one knew you like Regulus did, he’d keep you and him a secret as long as you asked him to. If it were a lifetime he’d do it no questions asked. You were his first thought waking up and the last thought when he’d fall asleep.

Remus Lupin X Potter!reader

Summary: Being James’s twin meant his friends were off limits to date but he didn’t have to know.

You were home for Christmas break so naturally your brother, James, had his friends over since their family lives weren’t in their favor. On the outside you and Remus tried to not show any affection to each other, but on the inside you two were inseparable.

You’d meet up in the middle of the night where he’d come to your room. He’d pin you against the door and slowly kiss down your neck.

“God I missed you, I hate not being able to do this,” He says between open mouthed kisses.

“I know, it’s only for a few more weeks,” Your heart was beating out of your chest when he gently sucked at your collarbone before biting down softly.

“Remus, you’re gonna leave a mark,” You pushed his head away gently but it was too late, a small purple bruise was forming on the middle of your collarbone.

“Sorry love, I just missed you,” He wasn’t that sorry.

“No you’re not,”

You capture his lips in a fiery kiss after a long day of not being able to.

The next morning at breakfast Remus sat to your left, Sirius and James across from you two.

Euphemia made a lovely breakfast as always and you served yourself a good portion.

You had totally forgotten about the hickey left on your collarbone, you honestly didn’t think they’d be able to see it with the shirt you were wearing.

“What’s that on your collarbone?” James said between bites of breakfast.

Your heart dropped, you had to come up with an excuse fast before they caught on.

“I burnt myself with my curling iron,” You tried desperately to sound as casual as possible.

“But how’s it on your collar?” Sirius intrudes.

“You know, long hair,” You shrug and quickly shove food into your mouth. Remus is trying his hardest to keep a straight face.

Sirius looks between you and Remus and narrows his eyes but eventually gives up on the theory.

The day went on like normal until dinner where Remus was in a bit of a mood for not being able to show you any affection all day. His hand was toying with the inside of your thigh. You flick his hand away and give him a look, him being a bit stubborn put his hand back on your thigh. He just wanted to be close and he couldn’t do that at your parents house in front of his best friends. You let him keep his hand there but you tried to keep a close watch to make sure no one saw him doing that.

Dinner was going great, everyone was laughing and having fun until Sirius clumsily dropped his fork under the table. You hadn’t noticed, neither did Remus and you were sure the table cloth was covering where Remus’s hand was. Unfortunately for you, when Sirius went to retrieve his fork he saw Remus’s hand toying with the inside of your thigh, twiddling a small string from your pants.

He couldn’t believe his eyes, did James know? When Sirius came back up with his fork he looked between you and Remus with a shocked expression. You immediately knew he saw and your heart dropped. He knew and you had to get to him privately before he loud mouthed to your brother.

Right after dinner you ambushed Sirius in the hallway with Remus next to you.

“You can’t tell James, he’ll be furious!” You exclaim.

“I have to tell him! You’re snogging his best friend. I’m sure he won’t be that mad,”

“Please Sirius just don’t say anything,” You practically begged him not to say anything.

“Fine I won’t say anything geez,” He raised his hands in mock surrender.

A few hours later there was a knock on your door, you were hoping it was Remus but when you opened it you saw James. He didn’t seem happy but not upset.

“Why’re you in my room?” You ask, voice trembling a bit.

“Can I talk to you about something?”

“Of course,”

“Are you and Remus dating?” James asks straight up, his jaw was tight.

You froze, you didn’t know what to say. Of course you and Remus were dating but what if James was upset about it?

“Uhm…yes,” You lowered your head a bit.

“Why didn’t you just tell me? I wouldn’t have been as upset if you just told me,”

“I didn’t want you to be upset cause I’m snogging your best friend” You huff out a laugh.

“It’s fine that you are, I just wished you told me sooner,”

A comfortable silence fell over you two, it was nice to know James didn’t really mind you dating his friend. You didn’t know how he felt about his friend dating his sister though.

“He treats you right? If he doesn’t I’ll beat him up I promise,”

“Oh Merlin! Of course he treats me right James!”

“That’s good at least. Well that’s all I wanted to talk about, goodnight,” James sits up.

“I’m actually getting up too, I need to go beat up Sirius,” You shoot up and yell out into the hallway.

“Sirius Orion Black! You loud mouth!”

Remus watches from James’s doorway with a smile.

Summary: when a new girl comes to school she tries stealing your best friend from you and tries to get with him even though you like him.

You and Remus had always been close to the point where people thought you were more than friends, you two never denied this so everyone just assumed you guys were dating.

You and Remus were like two peas in a pod, attached at the hip. You two would cuddle on the couch, study together, you were always by his side after the full moons, you’d bring him food and water and his books so he wouldn’t get bored.

You had heard rumors going around that a few new transfer students would be coming to Hogwarts. You were excited for new people to join the close knit community, maybe you’d even make a few new friends!

“Remus! Did you hear we’re getting a few transfer students?” You ask over breakfast.

“Yeah, I heard some rumors, but I didn’t really believe them,”

“I hope there’s some hot broads!” Sirius calls out.

“Ew Sirius! Think with your mind not your dick,” You retort.

As expected a few days later Dumbledore announced that a few transfer students from Beauxbaton were coming and should be sorted immediately.

One girl who stuck out to you was Paisley Miller. She had the same scars as Remus and the same attitude towards the world. You could tell from the start she had bad intentions the way she waved at Remus as she walked.

You had to admit you were a bit jealous of her when Remus waved back.

“Ohh you’ve got competition” Sirius whispered in your ear.

You kicked his leg under the table for that remark.

A few other students were there but you paid no attention to them. You prayed that she wouldn’t be sorted into Gryffindor. You crossed your fingers when she went up to the sorting hat.

“Paisley Miller!” Professor McGonagall called loudly.

She stepped up to the sorting hat. She had this smug look on her face and you could tell it was pointed at you.

“GRYFFINDOR!” The hat called.

Fuck… what were you gonna do?

She came up to our spot at the table and pulled her nicest smile.

“May I sit here?”

Everyone nods but you, you knew what she was doing, your intuition was never wrong.

Remus could probably smell she was a werewolf from the moment she walked in so naturally he was excited about having someone to finally understand him. Instantly they started talking, they really hit it off which left you talking to no one. Sirius and James were talking and Remus and Paisley were talking.

“Oh Remus, do you still want to study later? I need help with history of magic,” You ask quietly.

“Yeah! Would you mind if Paisley came along?” Paisley turned towards you and gave you a smile.

“Yeah…that’s fine…”

This was her first day here she wouldn’t even be doing anything but talking to Remus.

Later in the library you and Remus sat in your normal spots. Paisley sat next to Remus while you sat across from them. They looked like a couple the way she was rubbing his arm when he made her laugh.

“I don’t understand the goblin rebellion of 1612. Professor Binns fell asleep halfway,” You mumbled as you pulled out your textbook.

As Remus was explaining the material to you Paisley interrupts the two of you and says

“Oh! I learned about this already,” She seemed nice on the outside but you could tell she was secretly mocking you.

She then went on and on about her school work at Beauxbaton. Remus seemed so engrossed in her storytelling that he forgot to finish talking about the work you two were doing. You ended up making an excuse to get out of there because what was the point of staying.

“I actually have to go, I forgot I have something with Lilly,”

Remus gave you a wave and Paisley narrowed her eyes at you as if she was telling you to back off.

As the days went on you were almost completely isolated from Remus and Paisley took your place.

One day after class you were in the bathroom fixing your hair as she walked in. She seemed upset, maybe even angry. You had tried to talk to Remus in the previous class but she interrupted you.

“You stay away from Remus. He’s mine now and nobody will believe you if you say anything,” She pushes you against the tile wall of the bathroom.

You had no idea what to do. Do you tell Remus? I mean you had to.

After she left you quickly rushed to find Remus. When you find him he’s talking with paisley so you went up to the couch they were sitting on. She was petting his arm.

“Can I talk to you?”

“Yeah of course!” He replies.

“Privately,” Paisley gave you a look and you knew she was mad.

You pull Remus aside and take a deep breath before starting.

“I don’t know how to say this but Paisley told me to stay away from her and she pushed me against the wall in the bathroom after transfiguration,”

“Really? Are you sure you weren’t just dreaming?”

“Remus I’m serious, she’s bad news,”

Remus calls over Paisley and asks

“Did you tell her to stay away from me?”

Paisley fakes an offended expression and almost fake cries.

“I would never! I’m not that type of person,”

“What?! You literally just did it! Remus you’ve gotta believe me,”

Paisley starts to cry, it seemed so real but you knew it was all fake.

“You made her cry! You know every since she came here you’ve been acting weird! She’s told me about how rude you are to her,” Remus tries to console Paisley while you stand there shocked.

You tried to say something Remus doesn’t even let you get a word in

“You know what! Leave! I don’t want to talk to you anymore!”

Your heart sank when he said that. This was one of your biggest fears was losing Remus. You slowly walked to your dorm that you shared with Lilly.

“What’s wrong?” Lilly asks coming over to sit next to you on your bed.

“You know the new girl Paisley?”

“Yeah? She’s a werewolf too, right?”

You nod and tears start to pour down your cheeks.

“She told me to stay away from Remus because he was hers now and Remus doesn’t believe me. He told me he didn’t want to talk to me anymore,” Your words were broken up between sobs.

Lilly’s face softened as she rubbed your back.

“I’m so sorry. You can spend time with me at lunch. I usually hang out with Marlene and Mary. We gotta catch her in the act,” Lilly tried to be positive in all situations but you weren’t very happy at all.

The next day at breakfast you sat with Lilly and her friends. You kept looking over to where Remus was and he was laughing and it wasn’t from you. She had him wrapped around her finger.

“Come on you have to eat something,” Lilly says as she pushes your plate closer to you.

“I don’t want to,”

How couldn’t he see she was using him? At least someone believed you.

You went and excused yourself to the bathroom, you needed to get it together.

You leaned against the sink with your head dipped down. Behind you, you heard the clicking of shoes. When you looked up you saw Paisley.

“What do you want?” You bite.

“Oh nothing I was just coming to talk to you about what happened last night,” She looked down at her nails then fixed her hair in the mirror.

“You got what you want, you have him already,”

“I’m upset you said something because I specifically told you not to,” she made her way closer to you until you were backed up against a wall.

“It doesn’t matter anymore you got what you wanted now leave me alone,”

Paisley pulled out her wand and gave herself a tiny cut and bruise on her cheek. She looked at me and smiled then started crying very loudly, she was gonna frame me.

“What are you doing?!” You panicked.

A student heard loud crying so came in with a professor.

“What is going on in here!” Professor McGonagall yelled.

“She hit me! I was just trying to apologize for something!”

“No I didn’t! She’s lying, I’d never lay a hand on anyone!” You try to prove you’re innocent but it doesn’t work. They all believe her.

“My office now!”

You follow her to her office while Paisley is taken to the infirmary. Once you were in the office McGonagall started going off on you.

“Two weeks detention! This behavior is unacceptable,”

“Yes professor,” You didn’t even try to explain this time.

When you got back to the common room Paisley was crying into Remus’s shoulder talking about how you hit her.

“What is wrong with you? She’s been nothing but nice to you and you go and hit her?” Remus comes up to you.

You just walk away, you don’t have the energy to put up with this. You went up to your dorm where Lilly and Marlene were.

“I got detention. I didn’t even hit her! She used some sort of spell!” You complain and slam your body into your mattress.

“How long?” Lilly asked.

“Two whole weeks. Remus is also going off on me now, I didn’t do it! We have to catch her. Let’s go to the library tonight and see if we can figure out how to brew veritaserum,” You were so done with being blamed for everything.

“Deal!” Marlene and Lilly said in unison.

Later that night you three snuck into the library and were flipping through books of potion making, Lilly was really the only one good at potions between you guys so she’d brew it and Marlene would put it in Paisley's drink while talking to James about quidditch.

You guys finally found the recipe

“I found it!” You whisper yelled.

“Okay we just have to get the ingredients. I can ask slughorn since I’m a part of the slug club. I'll say it’s for research,” Lilly says as she writes down the instructions and ingredients.

The next day you sat with them again and you felt better knowing you had a plan to expose Paisley.

“I’m pretty sure my detention is organizing the potions closet so you might not even have to ask slughorn,” Your whisper so Paisley couldn’t hear.

“That’s perfect!” Lilly smiles.

“I go to detention right after class, I’ll make sure to wear my robe so I can fit some of it into my pockets,”

Classes were very boring and sad since Remus was giving you a horrible side eye. Detention was actually fun, you liked organizing and you could easily steal some ingredients.

“I want everything in order, make sure you dust it too,” Slughorn says.

The potions closet was small but that made it all the much better for stealing some things.

You had managed to clean a few rows of ingredients before your detention time was up. You were exhausted but still buzzed at the thought of exposing Paisley.

“Guys! I got it, I’ve got all that we need,” You announce to your dorm mates.

“Let’s get started now then!” Lilly says excitedly.

She quickly got her potion set out and you handed her the ingredients.

You guys stayed up until about one in the morning making the potion. You could finally expose her and get your Remus back. It had been killing you not being able to hug him, talk to him and read with him.

Three drops were all that was needed and all Marlene had to do was slip it into Paisley’s drink.

The next morning Marlene went over to James to talk about quidditch drills for later that day. Paisley conveniently got up to use the bathroom and Remus wasn’t at breakfast yet so she poured the truth serum into her pumpkin juice. Marlene stayed to ask some questions about you to prove Paisley was lying all along.

Remus finally came down for breakfast when Paisley came back from the bathroom. She had a bandaid over her cheek where you “hit” her.

“I can’t believe they’d do something like that. Did they really hit you?” Marlene asks Paisley.

“No I made it all up to get Remus to hate her so he’d be all to me,” After she said those words she gasped, she didn’t want to say that it just came out.

“I didn’t mean to say that!”

Remus looked shocked and looked over at Marlene who was smirking. We knew we had won the war.

“I know you didn’t mean to, I slipped veritaserum into your drink!” Marlene let out a loud laugh.

Remus flicked his eyes over to You and Lilly. His face was full of regret. He had heard enough, he practically jumped out of his seat and went over to you.

“Can we speak privately?”

“Of course!” You leapt up and quickly followed after Remus. He took you to a secluded hallway. He looked like he was about to cry.

“I’m so sorry I didn’t believe you! I just thought you were jealous cause I found someone who would understand me. Please forgive me,” He went on and on about how he thought he could trust her because she didn’t seem like the type to lie.

“Of course I forgive you! I was a bit jealous but I didn’t expect her to take it this far. I didn’t want to lose you because well…I’ve had the biggest crush on you for ages,” You admitted that last part as you pulled him into a hug.

He pulled back slightly to look at your face

“You do? Since when?” He brought his hands up to cradle your face.

“Second year, you were so kind and cute I couldn’t help it,”

Remus instantly pulled you into a kiss, it was desperate but sweet.

“So have I. I didn’t know you did too,” his forehead pressed against yours. His eyes were glossy and his pupils were large with love. You pull him back into a kiss, this was the happiest day of your life so far. You had your Remus back and now you guys were even closer.

“Excuse me! Sorry…” Lilly interrupted. She was trying to find you two after you’d been gone for fifteen minutes.

You and Remus pull apart hesitantly. You two were just starting to have a good moment.

“I just wanted to let you know that Paisley is being sent back to Beauxbaton in France,” Lilly says excitedly.

“Really?!” You gasp and run into her arms for a hug.

Enemies to lovers

Summary: Getting stuck in a broom closet with your enemy might be the worst thing that’s ever happened. Heavy on the might.

October 14th, 1979. 

Your last year at Hogwarts was flying by faster than you could imagine. Partying became a common practice, and studying became a second thought. 

Gryffindor had just one against the Slytherins in the latest Quidditch match so of course a party was happening. It was the normal rowdy Gryffindor party, drinking, playing stupid games, and most importantly the people there. 

Most of the Gryffindor house was there minus the younger years.

 You went to the party obviously, but you weren’t looking forward to seeing him. God you didn’t even know why you didn’t like him. Maybe it was his top marks, his sarcastic comments, or his beautifully scarred face…no definitely not that. 

You had a few drinks and hung out with your group of girls. By 12am most students had either passed out drunk or went up to bed. About 10 or so people were still awake and sat in the middle of the common room. James and Sirius had their ties around their heads, Peter was laughing about something James said, Lilly, Marlene and Mary were conversing amongst themselves and Remus was the most sober of them all. You figured he wasn’t much of a drinker, sure he had a few drinks here and there but you’d never seen him get drunk. 

“Ooh what if we play seven minutes in heaven!” Sirius yells excitedly.

“What are we twelve?” You retort back.

“Oh come on, it'll be fun!” Lilly tries to convince you.

You might as well join, all your friends were playing. Remus was playing too though which made your stomach turn with anxiety. You really hoped you didn’t have to get stuck with him.

A few rounds happened. James got stuck with Lilly, Mary got stuck with Marlene, etc. 

It’s your turn to spin the bottle. You lean forward and give the empty beer bottle a spin. It spins around and around until finally stopping at the person you hated most, Remus. Your breath catches in your throat, why did it have to be him?

“Ooh! Don’t have too much fun in there,” Sirius exclaimed.

“Oh we won’t be,” Remus mumbles while looking straight at you. 

Something about his gaze made you a bit nervous but you kept up your facade. 

When James finally locked you two into the small broom closet neither of you spoke, you didn’t even look at each other. 

“I can’t believe I’m stuck in here with you,” You roll your eyes. 

“Like I want to be in here with you either,” 

The broom closet seemed smaller than it actually was. Remus leaned against the wall opposite to you just staring. You had to look a few times to make sure you were seeing this right.

“What are you staring at?” You came off a bit harsher than you wanted but you honestly didn’t care.

“Nothing,” He shrugs. 

That answer kinda annoyed you. How can he be so annoyingly stupid? 

You narrowed your eyes at him, you knew he was staring, you just couldn’t prove it. 

“Like what you see?” Remus says sarcastically.

You sorta forgot you were intensely staring at his face so when he caught you, you were happy it was dark in the broom closet or else he’d be able to see the growing flush on your cheeks. 

“Oh fuck off,” 

“I’ll take that as a yes?” He crosses his arms. 

“God I hate you,” You mumble.

“Really? I didn’t notice,” He was so sarcastic all of the damn time it annoyed you.

You really hoped the seven minutes were almost up. It had to have been at least three minutes. 

You scoff, he was so annoying but you kinda liked it…

“You gonna stop staring?” He tilts his head.

“You first,” 

“Why should I?” 

“You’re so annoying,” You scoff.

“I know you love it. Admit it,” 

You roll your eyes but don’t confirm or deny his statement. You swallow hard. Why were you so nervous? Remus seemed to pick up on the nerves and smirked. 

“Am I making you nervous?” He pushed off the wall and took a step forward. 

He was now closer to your face and you could see the little scar that was across his lips. 

“You wish…” You tried to look anywhere but his face. You could feel his breath on your skin.

Your heart was beating out of your chest at this point. 

You feel one of his warm hands softly grab your chin and make you look at him. You gulp nervously, you were supposed to act tough and hate him. You did have to admit he was pretty cute…

“I hate you…” You mumble.

“Clearly not,” He retorts.

“Shut up,” You turned your head away even though he had a soft grip on your chin. 

“Don’t get shy now. Why do you hate me so much?” He let his thumb absentmindedly rub against your jaw.

“You know why. Don’t act dumb,” 

“Tell me. Why do you hate me?” 

“You’re so annoying, you always seem to get perfect marks in class while I’m stuck at second, I hate your stupid face and your smirk…I hate your sarcastic comments,” You mumble. 

Your heart was thumping, you were sure he could feel it.

“You don’t like my face? I’m surprised,” He said sarcastically. 

“Oh shut up,” You groan. Why was he so hot when he was sarcastic?

“Make me,” He says with a smirk. 

You roll your eyes. Was Remus drunk or was he just bold tonight? He didn’t smell like alcohol. 

“What are you shy now?” His thumb rests on your pulse point, it was a gentle touch but definitely made your skin feel hot. 

“No…you’re annoying,” 

He could feel how fast your heart was beating at just him messing with you a bit. 

“Really? Your hearts saying otherwise,” He says with a smile. 

You move your hand up to his to move it away from your pulse and to your face. You didn’t want to admit you were kinda enjoying this. You were sure the seven minutes would be up soon but you didn’t want this to end just yet. 

Remus ran his thumb over your bottom lip gently just to kinda test the waters. His gaze didn’t leave yours. 

“You’re awfully bold tonight…” You mumble. 

“Everyone’s bold when it comes to seven minutes in heaven. You don’t seem to mind it,” 

“You sound like Sirius…is he up to this?”  The banter came back as soon as it left.

“No? Can’t I just finally come out of my shell and be a bit bold?” 

“I’m not saying you can’t I’m just saying it’s unusual,” 

Your hand still rested on top of his hand, you didn’t even notice it. It felt so natural to be close to him like this. 

“Clearly you’re not bold enough to kiss me, might wanna work on that,” You poke fun at him. 

“Really? Maybe I was just stalling,” He took another step closer, his face was just mere inches away. 

“Cause that totally makes sense. We’re in a timed game and you’re stalling?” 

“I know you like the anticipation, don’t you?” He leaned down a bit so his face was level to mine. 

“I’m sure times gonna run out soon so take it or leave it lupin,” 

He tilts your chin up with his hand and leans closer till you two were just a breath away from kissing. 

When he finally leans forward to close the last little gap between you two your arms slide up to rest one on the back of his neck and the other in his hair. The kiss started out slow and timid but slowly it started to become a little faster and hungrier. He put one of his hands under the hem of your shirt, nothing dirty just feeling the need to be closer. 

You two finally pulled away to gasp for some much needed air. 

“Lupin you dirty dog…” You say while trying to catch your breath. 

Just as you two were going to pull back into each other the door to the broom closet flung open and standing there was the whole group. 

“We’ve been trying to tell you guys-OH!” James had a triumphant look on his face. 

You and Remus quickly separated from each other but it didn’t erase the fact that James saw Remus with his hand under your shirt. 

“Moony! You dirty dog! You two were snogging in there! Sirius, come here! They were snogging!” 

“Shut up James!” You yell as you step back into the common room. You wipe your hand over your lips, they are a bit red and puffy.

“We’ve been trying to tell you guys time was up for a good three minutes!” Lilly buts in. 

Remus smoothed out his hair from where your hands had been in it. 

“We didn’t hear you guys…” 

“Clearly not! You two were too busy trying to shag!” Sirius always had his mind in the gutter.

“We were not!” You and Remus say in unison. 

You all went back to the game but after only a few rounds everyone was getting tired and decided to go up to bed leaving just you and Remus in the common room. 

“I was wondering…would you wanna go to hogsmeade with me on Saturday?” Remus asks Turing his head towards you. 

“You’re asking me out?” 

“I mean yeah we just made out so might as well” 

“Sure, I’ll go…” 

“Saturday at three. Got it?” 

You nod as he heads up to bed. You were a bit shocked on how your night went but at least you got a date out of it.
