To me, Paavoâs portraits of his fellow Apocalyptica musicians will always surpass any promo shot taken by a professional photographer.
While someone with years of experience, education and training in photography may produce the best-looking and glossiest, magazine cover-worthy shot of the guysâŠ
âŠno one will ever be able to capture those intimate glimpses of a smile they flash each other, that shine in their eyes, showing that theyâre with someone they know, trust, and feel comfortable around.
Whenever I look at the pictures Paavo has taken of either Eicca, Perttu, Mikko, and now Franky, I can feel the warmth radiating behind them. You can just read the sense of friendship and love that was present the moment that shutter went âsnapâ.
Thereâs truly nothing like it for getting the most personal touch that exists while looking through their images.
When it comes to photo shoots, he loves his Perttu even more than you do :)) :
But heâs a demanding photographer. Perhaps too demanding. Which is why Perttu decides to get a stick⊠:P
