This isn’t the entire story, and I’m not good at writing, contrary to what many might say LMAO
So here we go, this is just the entirety of the notes doc containing it , so forgive me is anything sounds off, I try
He is a man as elusive as zeref, yet not widely known
Zeref was cursed to be immortal along side a death curse

He’s a fire mage at heart, but it doesn’t act like regular fire
His power sucks the color out of anything an everything and turns it to dust , then the dust to dust
Having lost hope in time, space, life and death , at-least he believes he did
He no longer sees a future for himself , yet he’s always trying to avoid a specific future that has haunted him so
At some point in time. When he felt he was about to fall
Living in a world of eternal cold and nothingness
To the roar of the great dragon king igneal
The cold empty lantern next to him lit up
The boy felt warmth for the first time, being able to see the fire clearly in the world of white
Since day he has never parted with it, and never will
The boy wears a long cloak with a hood,
Under it lay tunic with sandals, a long jacket robe and a shoulder warmer with a brooch
So has a long scarf. He doesn’t know where it came from. But in a dream , since the day he gained the rite to see fire again. He has dreamt of a open sky as he was atop the back of a grad red dragon
He might not remember who he was anymore. But when he bumps into zeref , he shows kindness
For even zerefs power , cannot hurt this all white man
Like a statue, he wondered the world
It happened years after zeref was defeated but fairy tail, after he and his empire waged a war
Fairy tail was having a most normal day when
The guild door suddenly banged
Someone walked straight into it, it fell foward , the door seemingly crumbled into white nothing, as the person who did it tripped onto the floor, his lantern too,
Natsu was caught off guard by it.. bc the lantern , that was igneals flame
But why was it with this guy
The guy felt around for the lantern , as if blind , bc he was, he found the lantern
“You’re in luck to have walked into my guild “
He spoke back-“who.? Who are you? Where is this? “
Makarov#”I’ve heard old wives tales “
“But I never knew you truly existed “
“I’m sorry to,have disturbed you, and for any damage caused “
“I just.am tired.. and can’t see “

“Do you mind.. if I rest here ? “
makarov” , of course you can, stay As long as you want “
After Natsu and the others , heck the entire guild would demand , especially natsu, who he was
Natsu-“oi old man, you’ve got a lot of explaining to do..”
Makarov spoke quietly-“ now now, calm down, “
“As you know fiore has witnessed a great many foes , many mysterious people and great powers”

Makarov - “he is a man who belived himself so hopeless , that according to legend, even zeref himself could not hurt him”
“Not much is known won about him”
“Its believed his power, similar to zerefs ,that it turns things to dust , loosing color, as you saw with the door
“His ultimate wish , is to be able to fly “
Natsu-“fly? Is that all?”
Makarov-“oh I’m sure there’s more, but that’s all I know “
“Why don’t you ask him natsu ? He is sitting on the floor after all”
“Honestly, it’s quite surprising, to see him just suddenly appear like that”
“My lantern can act like my eyes “
“So I asked it to bring me somewhere to rest forever “
“What’s a few more centuries of eternal slumber ? I can’t see.. so what’s the point of me being here… I've already wandered the planet countless times “
“Do fairy’s even have tails?”

Makarov-“you can stay here as long as you want”
“Rest in one of the guild dorm rooms”
“Not everything has to be solved in one day okay?”

Natsu interrupted-“I KNOW! Shiro! Let’s call you Shiro “
Gray- wow how creative “ passive aggressive
Natsu-“OI! YOU WANA FIGHT ICE BRAIN?!“
makarov hit in cane on the floor” silence “ he said
“Do you accept that name white wanderer?”
“The moment you do, know you will have accepted hope “
“Even if you don’t believe it”
“It is a bit on the nose .. but”
“You may call me Shiro..”
Shiro pulled down his hood. Revealing his white face
His mop head of hair and gentle eyes
Natsu-“that scar…! ? Where did you get it?”
Natsu recognised it, they all noticed , it looked exactly like Natsus scarf
Shiro-“it was gifted to me. Like the flame in my lantern”
“It one day just showed up”
“It felt warm and comforting “
Natsu-“er.. nothing nothing, just curious”
Natsu had a thousand questions, but just couldn’t bombard with it all
“Do you remember how you gained these items?”
Shiro-“all i remember m is the roar”
“Of a great red dragon” “And the warmth that followed “
Makarov-“ I see. Well in any case, if you wish to talk to anyone, just open your mouth”
“Let’s get you to your new dorm home shall we?”
Shiro-“home…” he said softly “If you insist “
Shiro was left to sleep in a real bed
Meanwhile natsu .. had so many questions
Back at the guild he went on
“Why does he have igneals fire?”
“Why does he have a scarf like I do?”
“Why has he been wandering for ages “
“Did igneal basically adopt him ? Are we related ?”
“But he doesn’t seem to know that himself “
Gray-“should we be worried? He’s not one to ask so many questions?”
Erza-“ it is very valid , a mythical being just appears and has something he otherwise shouldn’t have “
Makarov-“ natsu.. would you accept him as your brother?”
“A dragon slayers nose doesn’t lie. You can smell other slayers when they are close “
“You said he smells like one, , top that with the scarf ,
the dragons roar , the fire itself , just the way he talks about it“
“As crazy as it sounds, igneal looks to have taken him under his care without his knowledge, basically adopting him in the process “
Gray-“one dragneel is too much already.. must we have two?”
Lucy-“ go find igneal if you want to judge his choices “ she teased
Makarov-“so natsu? What do you think?”
“He’s got dad fire , smells like a dragon slayer and looks lonely”
“I’m not going to abandon him, if the fire brought him here , then it much be dads work”
“I’ll be the best big brother he can ask for!”
Lucy-“I’m pretty sure he’s older than you”
Natsu -“YOU GET THE POINT!”
In the morning Shiro woke up, in the male dorms . yawning
Gray and Natsu were there
Gray-“OH! so your finally awake “
Natsu-“do you know how long you slept for.?” He chuckled ,bonking his head lightly
“I’m sorry to have kept you waiting..”
Natsu-“Nah, it was fine, just tell us next time your going into hibernation”
Gray-“ from your reaction , it’s telling it’s normal for you to sleep for ages”
Shiro-“did I do anything while sleeping?”
Gray- “you have surprisingly sharp teeth”
“You and natsu share the same kind of long fangs and sharp teeth “
“You slept with your mouth open breathing fire . And mumbling about a mr dragon “”and hugging your lantern a lot
Natsu-“ you must have had a fun dream, what does mr dragon do ?”
Shiro -“well.. mr dragon is warm and fun, he feels like.. the father I never had “
“It’s fly on his back, I’d try and fight him, maybe even try to melt things “
“He usually speaks in riddles , so I try to beet him at something, but i usually fail”
“Ever since I got the flame, I’ve had dreams of him “
“But I wouldn’t know where I’d be without him”
“I don’t need to sleep. But I have nothing else to do “
Over these past 3 months, Shiro was observed , he trully was a dragon slayer , yet he doesn’t know that, he’d have to be explained a great many things
“Do you .. have any fire?”
Shrio-“consider it my medicine and food”
“In my dreams, mr dragon told me, to consume fire”
“And every time I did , it filled me up, it was warm and comforting, it not only helped me actually see clearer , like with color”
“But it also cleared my head , of that horrible nightmare.
Gray and Natus were concerned
Shiro-“ a nightmare .. that showed me what I belive I’d become, if I ever lost my self to the eternal cold of finality “
“A being white and emotionless .with grand wings, like an archangel ,yet, there would be nothing holy about them. As that thing..” his hands shake as he speaks
“Turns the entire universe to a empty silent nothingness “
natsu embraced him , warmly
“Please Shiro… you will never , become that..”
“If you want fire. Have mine”
He summons a fire ball in his hand
“You might not understand right now, but the dragon in your dreams , the fire you have in your lantern “
“He’s my father . Igneal, the dragon king “
“And so, that makes you , my little brother “
“So what do you say ? Brother “
Shiro stared for a second , looking at the flame, he was drooling unknowingly , salivating from his sharp fanged teeth
He softly smiled taking the fire into his hands
As he consumed it , exactly like natsu can , and bit down , a shimmering wash flowed over him , a light pastel to his body and clothes,
, pale skin, white hair, the white scarf , and shorts and a t shirt
“Ah.. so this is what you look like?”
“You and I share the same scarf ., how funny “
Natsu smiled -“yeah.. so do you “
Natsu laughing his butt of
“Nice way to introduce you’re self ice brain!”
Shiro chuckled , smiling, laughing
“You to are great friends , aren’t you?, how fortunate “
“I only dream to have such a relationship “
Natsu and gray Stopped looking at each other
Natsu held shiros hand-“you do now Shiro, we are your friends , we all are”
Gray-“ he’s right you know”
Shiro smiled unsure what to say
Natsu stayed behind while he kept Shiro company to get ready for the day, see if he wanted a new outfit , that he could wear some of his clothes for the time being if he wanted
Meanwhile gray went to the guild to report on his awakening
Gray-“ he.. has awoken “ he told makarov
Makarov -“I see, it certainly has been on long slumber, did he seem okay?”
Gray-“ aparently the long sleeping is a common occurrence”
“He dreams of igneal every time, stating he’s had dreams with igneal ever since he got that fire”
“That eating fire is not only a source of food, but a medicine “
Gray-“aparently igneal told him to always eat fire every day, even small amounts , bc it not only helps Shiro see clearly and in color, it makes himself pastel “
“But the most concerning part of it was “
“It’s to ward off a nightmare “
Makarov-“a nightmare? What kind of nightmare?”
Gray-“ he described it as an unholy winged being of pure finality turning the universe to nothing in a silent white fog “
“He’s afraid,, he would become that without the fire”
“It would seem igneal’s choices weren’t random after all, the boy’s transformation into a dragon slayer makes sense “
“I take it Natsu is with him now? “
Gray-“ yeah.. they are getting ready together..”
“Should we be worried about his nightmare? Is there a chance he could become that?”
Makarov-“I do not think he will, he’s been raised to eat fire , and has that lantern”
“Fire is the medicine isn’t it? And he probably trusts the dragon who gives him warmth”
“He’s afraid of it, so he won’t fall to it, not now, he’s a dragon slayer, and I can feel his desire for life from here”
“That boy isn’t hopeless. It’s actually suite the contrary “
“It’s his most defining trait “
Lucy-“it’s nice to know he’s awake “
“He can certainly sleep a long time can’t he”
Erza-“he seems less hopeless, and more just lonely “
“I think Natsu being his brother is a good choice “
“Shiro won’t ever be left behind, not with natsu around”
“And it seems. We now have two fire dragon slayers”
“Gray,you might want to pack up and run while you can “ she chuckled
Grays eye twitched -“getting there “
Gajeel wrapped his arm around Gray in a head lock “YEAH! Get used to it, we multiply “
Laxus-“if we had any more gajeels, I’m sure the worlds iron industry would be destroyed “
Gajeel -“IS THAT A THREAT? BRING IT ON!“
Laxus -“oh? confident are we?? “
“Bet you couldn’t stop me even you tried “
Wendy -“now now you two , there’s nothing wrong with either of you, Shiro is just special, please try to be nice to him “
Gajeel -“who said we wouldn’t be nice?””
Laxus” yeah! If he’s a dragon slayer, he’s apart of the family, and I’m gonna make sure he’s the best he can be!”
Erza-“not if I get to train him first”
Laxus-“ of really? Now? Bet, by the time I’m done with him,he’ll be as big as I am”
Gajeel-“please, one muscle freak is more than enough “
Elfman-“DID SOMEONE SAY MUSCLES!”
“I’ll make sure he’s the manliest he can be!”
Gray in the corner slumped , accidentally took one of canas bears and downed it
Makarov hit his cane in the floor
“Shiro Dragneel is a person, not a pet”
“It’s nice you want to Train and make him stronger”
“But Natsu is his brother , if anyone’s gonna be training another fire dragon slayer”
“It aut to be our resident dragon slayer of fire “
“Teach him, guide him and be kind “
“Don’t over pressure him “
Shiro and Natsu came through the doors of the guild
Shiro wearing an out fit Natsu helped pick out, his scarf still there and lantern , the outfit was colourful, Shiro basically looked normal . But he himself were kinda pastel
Shiro-“ hello. I’m sorry I slept so long”
“I’m not used to knowing there are people waiting specifically for me “
Makarov -“welcome back Shiro, we’ve been waiting an awfully long time”
Shiro smiled -“yes.. I did “
“My.. brother . Was there when I woke up “
“He explained a few things to me”
“And helped pick out a outfit for me “
Natsu swong his arm around him “YEAH! We’ve had a lot of fun “
“I promised to teach him all that I know!”
“When I’m done, gray won’t know what hit him!”
Gray dying over a few more beers
Makarov-“so Shiro. When’s the last time you’ve eaten?”
Shiro paused for a moment to think
“I’m not sure.. a lot of things about myself are unknown, so if I had to guess..”
Natsu physically picked him up
“NOPE! YOUR STUFFING YOUR FACE FULL OF FOOD RIGHT NOW!” “No brother of mine is going hungry!”
“Brother!” He wiggled in his arms
Little did Shiro realize, he was ravenous
He and Natsu had the same level of eating ability .
Shiros sharp fanged teeth made quick work of eveything, from meet to it’s bones
Lucy-“your not meant to eat the bones…” she face palmed
“But father igneal says I should eat all my food.“
“In my dreams he feeds me all kinds of things, and I just consume them hole”
Lucy- “I fear igneals not trying to raise a child but a wild wolf”
Natsu laughing -“HEY! I think it’s cool! As long as he eats !”
Gray-“you have no right to talk “
Shiro-.”miss Mira. Your cooking is really tasty!”
Shiro-“In my dreams.. he tries to get me to learn things “
“Like trying to make sure I knew how to spell and write “
“I kept getting everything wrong! Even if i thought I was right”
“Don’t ask me to do math, i will die “
“I once tried to demonstrate my fire breathing, it was only a small burst “
“And he said that was basically nothing “
“I told him to do anything better “
Natsu chuckled, knowing where this was going
Shiro-“ he blew down an entire mountain..”
“That is just like him! He did the same thing to me “
“Let me guess, you asked if he could teach you that but he said “you already know how. Just always remember to keep a fire in your belly?”
Shiro-“oh.. yes..” “that did happen “
“When I caught animals for us to eat, I wanted him to do the fire . But he said I had to learn somehow”
“Said a boy must eat to become strong! “
“He knew I didn’t need to eat, but encouraged it anyway , even in a dream”
“The meat was under cooked but I ate it anyway “
“Yeah.. he did that to me too“
“I loved my time flying atop his back and zooming through the sky “
“Then I’d fall off and he’d have to catch me “
“I look forward to dreaming of father when I sleep”
“I know he’s not exactly real. Being a real,. But he felt real to me”
“I will cherish the memories I’ve had with my father “
“And I will blaze my way into the future, and make him proud!”
When he said that, the colors on his self became brighter
“Brother.. , if dad could see now, he would be so proud, as am I”
“Don’t forget this feeling , your fire is growing warmer and brighter “
“And who knows, dad is a strange dragon, he always has strange ways of coming back to the realm world. Maybe one day you will meet him for real “
Lucy- “stop, you’re gonna me me cry “ she’s in tears
Shiro-“what was it that father said?”
“That’s what I say when I try to shoot fire”
“It’s a dragon slayer move, that’s what you are brother “
Shiro-“dragon slayer?” “What’s that?”
Natsu -“it’s a person who was taught by a dragon to use their powers “
Wendy-“ or you could learn the powers via a lakrima , much it’s a bit experimental, eg Laxus over there “
“Well that’s okay, I like being a dragon slayer! “
Shiro got up and turned around .
Put his hands together in a familiar pose
he did a roar all right, a burst of fire came from his mouth. Unfortunately a very week small puff
He slumped over the table mumbling
“Father., I’ve failed you”
He was distressed not being able to roar truly
“Brother,, you saw nothing “
“Please , shiro, for your current situation, your doing great “
“You are no one’s failure, not dads, not mine, or yourself “
“Trust your big brother, I’ll make you roar down mountains like I can “
“As I said prior, I’ve been in your situation..”
He grinned, showing off his own fanged teeth
“Would you like to join fairy tail?”
Shrio confused “what do you mean? Am I not already here?”
Lucy smiled -“he means officially, with a guild mark”
“You might have seen them”
“The symbols on our bodies “
She showed her hand too him

And in the blink of an eye, there was a official fairy tail logo on his upper arm “
It shimmered a light red in his current form

Natsu embraced him” you’re a fairy tail wizard now! Can’t wait to bring you on missions!” Shiro-“missions?” Natsu-“ oh don’t worry, they are safe, most of the time” Lucy-“literally every mission is a life or death mission, please don’t put your brother in danger “ Natsu-“HEY, HE WILL NEVER BE HHURT!” he was shaking Shrio -“BbbBbbb bRoThEr…” Natsu. -“oh.. whoops” Shrio was dizzy ,smoke coming from his mouth “Dizzy…..” Geay#”way to go flame brain “ Natsu-“ILL FIGHT YOU “” gray-“BRING IT!”
Shiro -“ in my dreams .. I’m face with 3 things”
This caught everyone’s attention
Shiro-“ “a human” (who he used to be )
“a dragon “( igneal and basically himself )
“A demon” (the angel of finality )
“I have yet … to choose , what I am”
This cought those in the know off guard
Natsu-“the same thing I went through “
Shiro blinked -“you’ve been through that too?”
Natsu chuckled -.”yeah.. it kinda sucked “
He put his hands firmly on his shoulders
“You are Shiro dragneel, fire dragon slayer and the son of igneal, a fairy tail wizard “
“You don’t have to be anything but yourself”
“In due time, you will know what you want, like I once did “
Shiro silent -“ what did you cHose ?”
Natsu grimed” I chose to be natsu dragneel! A human !”
“And I’m sure, that’s all you want too..”
“You’re here , and we won’t let you become anything you don’t want “
Lucy-“he’s right , you’re apart of the family , and we won’t leave you hanging”
Gray-“ no one’s gonna touch you besides our friendly fire firsts and erzas punishments “
Erza bonked him over the head, nodding
Shiro smiled -“I… I see..”
Shiro-“ honestly if you gave me a source of fire and a comfy bed, that would be perfect “
“I could eat fire and be warm forever“ he started drooling thinking about it
Natsu laughed “you really are my brother!”
“Trust me, you will be warm, without needing to be alone”
Shiro smiled -“ that demon frightens me.. it’s a nightmare for a reason, so I don’t want to fall..”
“Being a human.. sounds nice but I feel it’s too late for that..”
“I wouldn’t mind becoming a dragon, but judging from your faces, becoming a dragon isn’t a good choice?”
Lucy-“normally dragon slayers would eventually turn into dragons , but natsu, Wendy, gajeel and others had special passes, the dragons who trained them sealed themselves inside their bodies to keep it from happening “
Natsu-“ let me tell you that was a rollercoaster “
Lucy-“but you seen a bit different from them, you don’t seem like you’ll become one, we’ve checked “
“And if you were , it might have Happened by now “
“Your special in general, becoming a dragon slayer unknowingly through dreams and a lantern fire “
“And humans aren’t one thing Shiro. They are anything. And your doing very human things right now “
Shiro looked at he a bit confused
