I worked hard this summer to make a little side cash from recycled projects.

These first 2 are jewelry organizers, the mint one has gold accents complimented by the recycled wine corks, while the blush has white accents. Made from reclaimed vintage frames, backed with wire from a recycled air filter, and some spare cup hooks I had lying around the house, these cost less than $3 to make both. Total profit: $52

This front door organizer was made from a recycled dresser drawer. Switching out the drawer pull hardware to the round knobs was simple, the painting was a very soothing action.

On the back I added two photo hooks. Calculation the cost for acrylic paint, I maybe put $2 into thos project.

More wedding pumpkins!

These were inspired by a pinterest page. My fiance and I are having a spectacular time creating new looks that are both spooky and elegant.

These were made with foam craft pumpkins and flowers I bought on clearance last year.

My latest sculpture! I've been into a fantasy mood lately, and wanted a friend for my recently painted water dragon, who I made last year.

I used a toothpick and wire frame for the torso on the mermaid, and the rest is done in original sculpey, hand painted with acrylics.

For her sandy beach, I used aluminum foil and then built sculpey around it. Fun fact, the seashells surrounding her are real! Some from a lake in Missouri, some from the coast of Florida.

We are really leaning into the theme, and I am so excited.

These were made using foam craft pumpkins I bought on clearance last fall and some acrylic paint. I created the images using photoshop, then I printed them and traced them onto the pumpkins before filling it in with paint. The edge details were free handed. I used a clear glossy spray paint to seal it.

I just finished up my semester of student teaching to get my MAE. My mentor teacher was FABULOUS (I cannot stress this enough). We had such a blast together!

As my parting gift, I decided to craft a little figurine to remind her of me. Teachers are magic, but there are special teachers, the ones who give 200% to the school and their students, who are true Unicorns, rare and powerful.

This is Penelope, a little glitter, a little paint, she took me two nights of obsessing over the details because she had to be perfect. But I am super pleased with how she turned out.

While I grew up Catholic, it has been years since I *felt* Catholic (does that make since?). However, every year around Christmas my family would unpack the nativity. This year, since I moved, I haven't found my old glass set, so I whipped up one of my own.

Simple in design but with a lot of technical elements, this one was my most challenging this year.

So, whether you celebrate or not, here's a little scene from my childhood. I intended for this to go on a holiday cake, but then was too lazy to bake. It would make a great dessert topper, or simply a festive tchotchke.

With the holiday rush behind me, I can finally get caught up on posting. This year, I got into an ornament making frenzy! Most were gifts, but I kept a few for myself, like the Let it Snow hanging ornament.

Sister got a penguin, Mom got a snowman, just a few of my favorites. Some are much more dainty than others.

In the rush, the process pics were neglected, but most are pretty straight forward! Enjoy my favorites here!

Valentine's Day is around the corner! Penguins show their love and devotion by delivering the perfect rock with which to build a nest.

These little birdies are made of polymer clay and painted with acrylics. I forgot to take process pictures (typical me, tbh), but here is a before and after of being painted.
