Crackslikelightning has walked in
It had been an extremely slow day in the coffee shop, hardly any customers had come in at all which was a surprise. Usually the place was packed with customers all day. However, an hour before closing shop the annoying bell over the door alerted her that someone walked in.
She was going to lose it if she didn't get her daily fix before her shift at the bar started, no questions asked. Unfortunately, that meant she'd gone all day without it, and that practically promised an unnecessary bad mood. Charging inside, Larxene's gaze shot up at the sound of the bell and hurried toward the counter. "Thank someone, there's no line." Huffing and reaching for her wallet, she nearly slammed the cash for her order on the table, already calculated and prepared. "One coffee, just black."
the blonde shrugged gently. “i’ve been told i’m good, but i think there’s a whole lot’a room for me to improve. ‘s why i’m going to college for it.” lithe fingers brushed through his crown of golden locks before he smiled a bit. “you’re photogenic though. maybe you don’t belong behind a camera, but you could definitely do well with modelling or something of the like.” he wasn’t sure if it sounded like he was trying too hard to flirt or something, but he was being completely honest. with her height—even just her face—she’d be able to turn heads. her natural demeanor would get her a lot of credit, too.
a bit of a blush appeared on his cheeks at her apparent approval of him, and he gave a gentle nod of acknowledgement before speaking again. “no, i don’t really have a preference since i don’t go out too often; you can choose wherever you’d like.” he slid his hands into his pockets, a gentle smile spreading over his lips. “to be honest, you seem like the type who knows nightlife pretty well—like which bar they play the best music at or which has the best service… so i’d much rather you pick a destination.”
"Really? I've heard experience works just fine, but hey, whatever works for you." She wasn't anywhere near the biggest fan of how college handled anything; from what she'd heard, they were just as bad as the police. Deadlines, attendance issues, so many rules, it might've made her stomach lurch if she wasn't already in such a good mood. "Photogenic?" Lifting a hand to her cheek, Larxene laughed beneath her breath and shrugged her shoulders. "What can I say?" A dramatic crossing of her arms, and the girl was back in the midst of an act. Perhaps what she should've been doing was theatre - but it was too much work. "Seriously though, thanks.""Nightlife? Is that what you call it?" Waving a flippant hand behind her, she was quick to lean her head in the opposite direction. "Hmm, all right. This way!" What better place to choose than the one she worked at? If nothing at all, she could get an extra hour or two in before the end of the night. "What kind of music do you like, anyways? How am I supposed to know what you think is good, huh?"

“I’m notoriously known for gambles,” Luxord drawled with an air of mischief about that, rubbing his own chin while he glanced at her. “But if you’re not willing to partake, I guess I’ll just be on my way.” Smirking, he turned around only to mock bow. “Pleasure meeting you, Larxene. Perhaps another time, hm?” Standing up straight again and turning heel. “For now, business calls.”
Seriously? She clenched her jaw, eyes narrowing significantly as he turned away from her. That wasn't fair, how was she supposed to get any answers with him away on business, and having no way of getting back into contact with him? "Just what are you offering me, exactly?" It sounded more like a statement - perhaps an order, than a question, but still.
At the very least, it was the best she could do. There wasn't a begging bone in her body, and asking a sweet-tempered question was nowhere close to her agenda. "Is business really so important?"

a laugh bubbled up the blonde boy’s throat at her goofing, a hand lifting to his mouth to stifle it the slightest bit. intimidating? hmm, maybe a little—but not entirely. she was pretty laid back. “you did photography?” he was a little surprised. it wasn’t as though she didn’t look the type or anything like that—she just seemed more like she’d be in front of the camera as opposed to behind it.
“well, since neither of us are doing anything,” he started casually, an almost nonchalant twinge to his voice. “maybe we could hang out or something? go for drinks or….whatever.” a small chuckle escaped him at his lame invitation.
"You bet." She nodded, but not before shrugging in defeat. "Really wasn't my thing. I got around to thinking that tilting the camera meant I was an artist, I don't know. And by the time I uploaded everything to the computer, don't even get me started. If you're good at it, stick to it! It's not for everybody." Strange, and fairly unconventional advice from someone who's only experience was a six-week class her junior year of high school, but still. She was no good at it, so if he was, then he was probably really good."You know what? That doesn't sound like a bad idea." He seemed like he had a good head on his shoulders and a pretty decent sense of humor (well, anyone who laughed at her jokes did, in her eyes), so she agreed without hesitation. "You're alright, Roxas." And while it wasn't something she said every day - she meant that. "Do you mind which bar?"
I can’t hear you… You’re talking to yourself And what you’re used to don’t work on no one else I’m gonna teach you And keep you for myself I’m gonna take you by the hand, I’m gonna walk you to my house So I can hear you.

“Then I don’t suppose I’ll be much interest to you.” He gave a bit of mock frown at that. “A shame, really. I’m sure I would have been able to show you a grand time.” He went to lean in even closer so their faces were mere inches apart. “Another day, perhaps.” He stepped on past her. “Afraid I might have a tight schedule at the moment. Unless you have something much more entertaining to offer.” He glanced back, brow raised at the woman.
Tapping her chin with the side of her knuckles, the blonde looked away for a moment. 'Grand time' could've easily meant a number of things, but her type of fun was seldom the thing that others enjoyed, albeit it might've been entertaining to see someone's reaction to her magic in this world. Of course, he seemed to know more, as he claimed, so who knew?
Was her pride larger than the presented opportunity? If she lost him right then and there, would she be able to live with never knowing the truth? No. The answer was flat, so she huffed, shoulders hunching forward in the smallest increment. "You could show me a good time? Pirate or not, I sincerely doubt that." Her eyes thinned considerably. He was issuing her the urge to prove herself? Hmph! "See, I'd show you just how entertaining I am, but I'm not sure you could handle it. Besides, you're so busy, and it's just.. such a bargain. No, you know what it is? It's a gamble, and how should I know if you like those or not?"

Luxord might have tense for all of second when she stepped forward. In situations like these he had to ask himself if he had taken anything beforehand. He may just be hallucinating, wasn’t like it hadn’t happened in all the years he spent dealing with the guilt. But her electrifying presence felt very real. Jaw ticking if for a moment, he folded his hands behind him, leaning forward to meet her. “I think I may know more than you, love.” He gave a cheeky wink. The both of them would be at each other for days with wit. “But, tell me, who do I remind you of? A roguish pirate you’ve gone gallivanting with in the past?”
At the idea of being out of the loop, Larxene tossed her head back in laughter. "Please!" She taunted, brows knitting together as disbelief crossed her features in the form of a smile. Bouncing back, she ran her tongue across her lower lip in thought - it felt more tit-for-tat than it had in, well, however long it'd been since she'd seen the gambler. Still, it wasn't enough to make any assumptions. Was it?
"Well, if that's what you think, you'll be sadly mistaken.. Louie." Her hand found her hip as it stuck out, her posture changing as she leant forward to sneer completely. "Eh?" She questioned briefly, the pitch of her voice lifting in response. That much was very subconscious, of course; she couldn't help it.
"Gallivanting? If I was off gallivanting, it wouldn't be with a pirate. What kind of a girl do you take me for?" That much was a lie, perhaps she would've, but it was all very subjective, and she didn't want him to have anything to use against her.

“The world is filled with mysteries, m’lady,” he said with another smirk, playing along in this little game of proverbial cat and mouse. Only they were both felines circling each other at this point in time. “Perhaps you’ll find out in time.” Cryptic himself. Master of rhetoric they always said. Larxene was smart. If she didn’t already know, she would soon enough. He just wasn’t going to spell it out to her just yet. He was having to catch himself from pulling out his dice to play with as they conversed, fingers tapping at his sides to keep them busy. Nervous? Not quite so much anymore. A need for a cigarette might have been growing, however.
Great - not only was he not about to cave, but he was using puns, too? "So I've been told." She scoffed, but showing weakness (or in this case, frustration) was the last thing she would do in front of someone that resembled an Organization member. No, she couldn't tell for certain, but the risk was far too immense.
"Looks like you do know something, then. Don't you?" Taking a decent step forward, she folded her hands behind her waist and found her lips curled up into a smirk. Her eyes followed in accompaniment, flashing with the amusement of a new encounter. "At least you know that much. If there's anything to find out, I'll be the one to do it." Wagging a finger, Larxene grinned playfully; besides, it was much like she said. No harm done!

Oh, boy. And he was so sure of his silver tongue. Even the most clever of charmers had their bad days. And seeing her had him unsurprisingly shaken up. Wasn’t common you saw something from the dead, now was it? And she was figuring it out. Safer to just not lie, but he was not looking forward to a fight if it came down to it. Recognizing the threat in her voice. All too familiar. “My apologize, Larxene.” Giving her a nonchalant expression, he kept his ground. “That is rather odd, since I’m sure not many have my handsome face.”
"Hm - no harm done!" She chirped, quirking a brow. It was far easier to look like she was ahead of the game, rather than behind. Whether or not he could see through her bluff, she didn't know, but the manipulative Nobody preferred to be the one that was large, and in charge.
The other way around simply wasn't an option, so she didn't consider it. "Is it?" Well, she could give it to him - there certainly wasn't anything lacking in the physical department, but she wouldn't admit that aloud. "Well, that's just it."He seemed a little unimpressed, but that just meant a challenge; and those were her favorite. "If many aren't in possession of your face, how is it you make me think of someone I know?" A little cryptic? Yes, but why not? Irritating people was one of her favorite past-times.
