for the sake of not tormenting everyone who follows me i’m not gonna do it as one long post anymore though idk what i was smoking doing it that way the first time. i think i’ll just link to the previous post on each new one and make a tag for each project in case someone wants to see the process from the beginning. maybe eventually i’ll make a masterpost? though i do also want to blog like this on my website when i manage to finish it, so idk how necessary that would be in the long run.

some progress pics from while i was working. this is the back panel of the cardigan.

and where i’m at right now.

for any curious, i used a slightly bastardized version of fair isle/stranded colorwork technique for the paw prints, using a new bobbin of yarn for every pair because i’m being stingy with my gray, this is nice wool. also i think that’s what the pattern wanted me to do ? this is my first actual knitting project where i need to follow a true pattern, so i struggle a bit with understanding exactly what the pattern wants me to do.

next is making the actual foxes. i’m stalling on that part lowkey because i don’t even know how to begin with the foxes since the original mary maxim pattern i bought (here), and the modified version i’m referencing for the film accurate design (here), don’t seem to exactly line up in a couple ways so i’m gonna need to do some frankensteining i think. might also scrub through the movie and see if i can see the sweater for myself clearly in any shots.
