“  oh  god.  “  summers  low  voice  mumbles  beneath  her  breath  as  eyes  settle  on  the  door  and  who  exactly  had  been  walking  through  the  crowd.  excusing  herself  from  encounter,  stiletto  heels  are  quick  to  move  across  the  floor,  panicked  eyes  wondering  across  the  room  as  she  approaches  the  other. “ you  can’t  be  here.  you  absolutely  can’t be  here.  are  you  crazy  ?  “

“  for  someone  who  says  they  could  not  care  less  about  me,  you  sure  have  an  issue  with  me  dating.  that’s  the  third  boy  i’ve  brought  home  that’s  mysteriously  disappeared.  “  valerie  hums,  trying  to  hide  her  amused  smirk  by  placing  straw  between  her  lips  and  sipping  her  cocktail.

it  was  late  at  night  and  axel  had  just  gotten  out  of  the  shower,  ready  to  head  to  sleep  after  a  long  week  of  work,  until  his  client  had  called  him  and  said  she  thought  someone  was  at  her  house.  with  no  hesitation  or  time  to  put  on  a  shirt,  he  was  quick  to  head  over,  only  to  find  nobody  but  her  on  the  property.  walking  back  into  the  house,  he  closes  the  door  and  locks  it,  shrugging  his   shoulders.  "  nobody’s  here,  i  checked  the  perimeter.  must’ve  been  a  stray  or  something. “
