I remember in high school I truly felt like I was in love with a girl. We liked anime lol that was one of the big reasons why I was in love with her. She was the first major crush I had in high school. And I remember always daydreaming about what life would be like if we got together as a couple. We’d be together all the time watching anime we loved, doing what teenage couples would do; the cute shit. I remember, I was listening to the album Infinity on High by Fall Out Boy-especially one song on the record. I’m like a lawyer with the way I’m always trying to get you off (Me and You) was the title. Long title, I know. Every time I listened to that song, I thought about her. It comes on, I think of is holding hands. It comes on, I think of us watching anime together. It comes on, I’m holding her hands in mine and gazing into each other’s eyes just staring without saying a word. A simple kind of love. Just me and her and this song. The scene changes to both of us dancing to this song on the dance floor in our wedding reception. Mom and dad are watching. My cousins are there. All her family are there. I kiss her hand and look up. She’s gone.
