Fiesta Hall Dorms (La Fiesta Tech) Makeover! 🌴

‼️I remade this lot on the original, in-game one (just booted up a fresh La Fiesta Tech on a test hood :P) and it turns out it had a broken weather controller which caused terrible lag. I ran it through the lot compressor (removed the weather etc.) + popped the lot cleaner and it's all good now. But just in case you get the lag too, turn on testingcheats and an error should show up. Just delete the mf

Fiesta indeed xD On each play-test out of 3 they crowd this little rooftop room just to take a sip of their stupid punch right when they're moving in. They scatter on their own eventually 15 hours later

Sooooo this is the kind of place you send your kid for groceries only for them to come back 5 hours later with just bread and no eggs and milk ;/ I didn't like having a whole lot just for an arcade and I wanted a basement internet café so a miserable box an old townhouse with a frogshop it is xD You can even get a snack there!

❗️A note:

Make sure you place the lot a bit higher than the sea level, otherwise you'll get all this sand

Bluewater Village map is quite low for basements :/ Thankfully you can modify terrain with a cheat

Ok, it doesn't exactly look like a dacha cause actually I just looked at a few pics on pinterest and improvised xD The shell ended up nonsensical but at least it caters to me!!!!!! I really needed that sunroom mmkay. Any family that gets to live there are lucky mfs. You could try squeeze Ottomas here, this house could be easily placed in Riverblossom Hills. A bit intentional, cuz in my uberhood BV and RH are neighboring regions :P

Pretty much a depressing build for your depressive Sims :D Nah, I just wanted something bland and kind of affordable. I know the kitchen is dumb af, but it would do really good with a CC calendar deco.

If the lot is too expensive for your broke-ass family of choice, just use Pescado's Magic Wand. I'm keeping the original price because I enjoy my Sims experiencing abysmal housing market.

Btw, as you can see the lot doesn't have flat edges, but it's just a small slope, nothing very noticeable. And as always, use trim inaccessible bushes.

Oasis Dormitory (La Fiesta Tech) Makeover!

Yeea I really tried to lean into 50s with this lot but I'm not feeling 100% sure if I nailed it. The original shell is ok but there's something at the back of my head telling me I could tweak it more. I think it's the foundation height throwing me off. Whatevs, at least I'm really feeling that bear in the hallway xDD

On a side note, I looked up a thread on MTS how billing in uni works, and gee it's stupid easy to raise the costs even if you use the cheapest furniture. Basically, the less available rooms for dormies, the higher the costs. So even if I bumped the overall value by 5k§, the 3 students I moved in to play-test got a 6k!!! Tuesday bill with a bill750 mod. And ofc those solar panels ain't doin' shit for me for some reason. So, even if you're not using any mods modifying the bills amount, be ready for some bullshit pricing!!!

It's really not a play on Maxis' Seaspray Apartments, I just need some apartments for my BV makeover and these just happen to be placed on the seashore xD I really like these, they're perfect for my sims just starting a family. You don't need to guess which apartment is my favorite obv, but the rest has more appropriate decor for younger sims.

Also❗️, just to say it in advance, I don't really decorate bedrooms, imo these are the most personal spaces, so no matter the style of the apartment I'd still be able to flex various sims on any of these. I think even irl rental listing bedrooms tend to be bare.

Welp, it's time to bring out some wacky builds. For my makeover I imagine Bluewater Village to be an industrial port town, so for this lot I thought about those random stand-alone bars you can spot in harbors. Tbh I kinda like the result, it looks poor and I want poor, the tropical theme is my necessary kitsch. It's a rainy town!

xD In the mean time I also remade the ALT dorms and since I treat ALT as an elite uni, I picked Boggs to be the rich kid dormitory 'experience'. The original kinda asked for a proper mansard roof. My other dorms don't look this posh, I'm planning to make a mix of classical and modern architecture for the makeover. Broke-ass sims will get a chance to study there too!

‼️Theoretically this lot should NOT be affordable for students even with vanilla game billing, this shit so expensive. Buuut as I play-tested it, it turns out (at least in my game) I'm getting green energy refunds, like a whole whooping 3 thousand simoleons for a single mailman visit!!! So the rich fucks will only be getting richer 😭 surprise realism lmao. I didn't place any solar panels too, so I suspect it's those two intimidating horses M&G pegasus sculptures doing the job, idk. In any case if it doesn't work in your game and instead you're getting sums even your sim's 3 kidney donations won't cover, just spam motherlode atp xD I really doubt Pescado's Magic Wand would make a considerable difference here

Ayy, my 1st ever upload! I've been working on my little re-imagined Bluwater Village project for a while because I really needed a poorer, gloomier region for my sims and the Maxis original doesn't cut it with its lot sizes and cozy architecture. So, I'm building all of my BV makeovers from scratch! For this lot specifically instead of a fairy-tale looking house I wanted an 'abandoned' Victorian mansion for the sims to suffer in cold <3 I also left a small surprise for them in the tower on the left.

Also, note the lot doesn't have flat edges, hope that isn't a problem 😬
