“Intuitive eating” where you “listen to your body and eat whenever you feel hungry” is some of the worst advice ever. If you live in a modern, industrialized, Western country you’re surrounded by an abundance of cheap and constantly available food. Because of this, your body has been trained from a young age to think it’s starving to death whenever you haven’t eaten in 2-3 hours. “Intuitive eating” is the problem, not the solution. You should stop listening to your fat, overfed body entirely. You’re not going to starve if you eat 3 regular meals with sensible portions, at set times.
