in celebration of the imminent union of william, prince of wales, and his betrothed, costança of aragon, members of the ruling house of plantagenet invite their exalted guests to join the couple in a pre-wedding feast. although the country remains in mourning for the late margaret plantagenet, guests should not anticipate a solemn affair ––– after all, the plantagenets are known for their lavish soirees, and as such the evening will be equipped with dancing, music, entertainment, and exotic delicacies for guests to indulge in. the evening will draw to a close with a toast to the couple, wishing them well in their nuptials. though all is not as serene as things appear, for just outside the palace walls a storm is brewing…

the affair is in full swing, and for the first time since lady margaret’s death nearly four weeks ago there is merriment and joyous laughter flowing as plentifully as wine throughout court. alliances are made and feuds are ended in the name of peace, though both the music and merry-making draw to a resonating halt when, midway through the feast, chants can be heard outdoors; calling for an end to the affair. self-proclaimed enemies of the spanish crown, the rioters demand the king sever his alliances with aragon and the heads of any whom stand in the way of that, and whilst the celebrations continue indoors, the rioter’s clamor only grows louder and more persistent.

the event will take place on the dash, and will last four days, from 29 april to 5 may. members are welcome to write event-related threads on discord and/or other social media platforms, but this will not count as activity.

non-event related threads are allowed to be continued, but no new non-related starters may be posted during the event.

activity checks will not be undertaken during the event, though we expect members to maintain sufficient activity. typical roleplay etiquette still applies.
