His golden-brown eyes shifted away from the window. He looked up and saw her. Her smile was delicate, but her eyes were glistening with serenity.
“Sorry to disturb you, but can I ask you a favor?” She pulled the seat near her and sat beside him.
He can feel his heart thumping faster than usual. He removed both of his earphones as he looked at her. He wanted to impress her. He wanted her attention desperately for a long time already but there’s something about her that makes him feel inferior.
She was blinding, he thought.
“What is it, Y/N?”
“Uh, I was hoping you could come to our mini concert. The choir will be having one this coming intrams. I was hoping you and Yamaguchi-san come.”
She gave him two tickets. It says “For invites only”.
“Uh, do we need to pay?”
Oh yes, he remembered. He remembered that time when she exchanged playlists with him. Tsukishima never did this act to anyone, not even to Yamaguchi. But for her, he didn’t hesitate. He was actually impressed by the music choice of (Y/N).
She shook her head. “No. That’s well… those are complimentary tickets. The choir members can invite two other people outside the club. I thought you and Yamaguchi since, well... you like music and we share songs.” She answered with a bright smile.
“Thanks.” He answered.
“See you there!” She smiled again and walked away from him.

“Tsukki, are you sure I should come along too?” Yamaguchi asked.
“Tsk. Just come along.” Tsukishima replied.
They looked for their seats but aside from their seats, they also found out that some of their teammates were there. Of course, he realized. One of his seniors’ girlfriends was part of the choir and was said to be mentoring (Y/N). It’s impossible to miss the seniors’ last performance.
The curtain opened. And Tsukishima’s eyes sparkled like diamonds.
There she was, wearing a blue flowy dress with a guitar in her hand. She opened her mouth, and that silky, smooth, delicate singing voice of hers - enveloped with the tunes of the guitar slowly destroyed his composure.
Tsukishima lost it. He had enough of this torture. He clasped his chest as he felt his heart going to burst anytime. He decided that he’ll confess after the intrams. He can’t take it anymore.
But after that last strum, that last note - he felt a change of atmosphere.
He saw Yamaguchi’s eyes driven into some sort of trance. His eyes were bewildered not only by the music but with her voice. It was like his best friend finally discovered a great dark secret.
Tsukishima felt a pain that was slowly cutting his heart.
His dark secret was discovered, and he didn’t know what to do.

“Tsukki, sorry I can’t go home together with you today.”
He can feel his chest tighten as Yamaguchi’s words enter his ears. He was still having a hard time processing what he was feeling.
It was like a timebomb. He was like a timebomb, going to explode anytime.
“I promise Y/N to wait for her after her choir practice."
He felt his heart crash into million pieces. Yamaguchi’s voice felt like knives being twisted and stabbed several times into his heart.
“Sure, Yamaguchi. Go ahead.” He replied.
And then he saw crystals in his lap. He closely looked at it. There were star-shaped crystals. He felt them in his face. He noticed his face in the mirror. He hated it.
“See you tomorrow!” Yamaguchi said, with a smile plastered on his face. He waved and slowly closed the door of their club room.
He hated that smile. He hated that Yamaguchi was smiling like that. He hated that Yamaguchi was feeling that way.
He gritted his mouth. There was a lump forming in his throat. He can’t help it.
Then, the dam inside his heart broke. He suddenly started sobbing, uncontrollably. His eyes started welling up with star-shaped crystals. It was like it was never going to stop.
He saw her first. Why did Yamaguchi got her? What did she see in Yamaguchi that he didn't have? His heart was beaten. His soul was broken. He can feel him losing himself from this fight.

The little boy asked with his big black eyes, emitting excitement. You can’t help but smiled. You patted his head that made the little boy pouted. He looked at you again, but this time.. his eyes were bright with curiosity - waiting for you to answer his question.
“Mommy??”
“Yes, we are.” You answered nonchalantly.
His face lightened up and a big smile plastered on his face. You looked at him as he started skipping around the living room, singing a little happy tune. The little boy picked up his mini volleyball and started playing.
It’s been 3 months since your little boy saw his father. It's been also 3 months since he left Japan for an overseas opportunity - an opening that he has been waiting for since he set his eyes on being part of Japan’s National Volleyball Team. He was working hard not only for his own sake but also Toshiro’s welfare. He is going to turn five and soon, he’ll be going to school.
Besides, you are technically not married to him. Everything that happened four years ago was an accident. Yes, you got mad with everything that happened between the two of you. But you also both knew that this isn’t Toshiro’s fault.
But you can’t also blame him. Having Toshiro now in your life made you realize your life’s purpose, and that’s being a mother.
“Toshiro, take a bath now. We’ll be leaving the house in an hour to see your daddy.”
The little boy nodded and grinned. He hurriedly ran to the shower.

You arrived at the stadium at the exact time that he said. You and your little boy walked up to the entrance. You heard the sound of the balls bouncing around, voices of people giving instructions and your son’s loud booming voice shouting as he was calling his father.
“DADDYYYYY!~”
You saw Toshiro run to the man who just dropped his ball and faced the little boy’s direction. He hasn’t really changed at all. He still has those sharp features. His black sharp eyes, same as your son. You can tell that he’s been working out since his muscular features had been more prominent than before. And he also grew taller.
He lifted up Toshiro to his arms. The little boy wrapped his arms around his neck. He pestered the little boy with little kisses in his cheeks. You decided to walk to their direction, just to let him know that you are also there with the little one.
“He’s been bugging me. He can’t wait.” You said calmly while pulling Toshiro’s shirt hem and fixing the wrinkles in his shirt.
“I-I’m sorry about that.” He stuttered.
“Kageyamaaaa, is that Toshiro already?!” Both of you were caught by a cheery voice behind the two of you. You smiled as you saw Hinata’s shock face.
“And, Y/N-chan!” You waved to him. Hinata gave you a hug then switched his attention to the little boy.
Kageyama nodded. Hinata then instinctively stretched his arms to Toshiro’s reach. The little one didn’t hesitate to hold his arm and was carried away by the tangerine haired man. Hinata then brought your son to the rest of the team. The team huddled over to the little boy, with Bokuto’s voice yelling over to your direction saying that he looks like Kageyama than you.
“H-How is Toshiro?” Kageyama asked, placing his hand at the back of his neck.
“He is doing fine. He started playing volleyball too. I hope you don’t mind if I enroll him to the summer volleyball camp in the neighborhood.” You answered nonchalantly, folding your arms together.
You can feel Kageyama’s contained excitement as your reply sank in his brain. He then looked at you with a slight blush spreading to his cheeks.
“Y/N.. T-thank you.” He said, in a very low and quiet tone.
“What for?” You faced him, tilting your head sideways.
“For taking good care of Toshiro, our son. I-I’m sorry for not being there with you. I-I couldn’t ask for a better mother for him than you…”
You were in awe. You felt your heart explode and butterflies began to form in your stomach. You can’t believe in the words that came out from the setter’s mouth. You never expected such big words from him, from Kageyama Tobio. You knew he was socially awkward and he sometimes didn't know how to filter his words. But, you know that he was a kind, considerate and loving father.
… Not only to little Toshiro, but also to you. You knew that deep in your heart. There were just things that both of you can’t control and you knew that you are ready to let go of those things.
… Because you loved him ever since.
“...Y/N, can you wait for me after the practice? Let’s grab some dinner with Toshiro.” He looked at you earnestly in his eyes.
You nodded, trying to hide your tears. You smiled warmly to him. You tried to reach out his hand, but he did it before you knew it. He was holding your hand, tightly - as if he is asking for a second chance.
It’s been a long time since you’ve been together -- as a family, finally.

You've been clicking your tongue for umpteenth time. It was already distracting him. His golden brown eyes shifted to the lady who was sitting in the desk. He sighed. He pushed his glasses with his slender fingers. He sighed and closed the book in his hand. He slowly shifted his position and sit at the edge of the bed.
"What's the problem, Y/N?" He asked nonchalantly.
"I can't focus on my work." You answered, echoing the stress in your words. You have been feeling these overwhelming emotions for almost a week.
Ever since your office shifted to work from home mode due to the pandemic, you've been feeling stressed and unmotivated. You feel restless and exhausted.
He stood up from the bed and walked to your direction. He placed one hand in your shoulder while the other one pushed some buttons in your laptop.
"Your continuous sighing and clicking of tongue is terribly distracting me from reading. Its annoying, Y/N." He said sarcastically.
"I'm sorry. If you want, I'll just work in the kitchen." You replied, bowing down to hide your teary-eyed expression.
He chuckled.
"Stupid. Come, let's go out of the room and watch something. You can also rant to me about anything. Just for today, Y/N. " He emphasized.
You stood up from your seat and gave him a hug. He wrapped his arms around your waist and kiss the exposed part of your neck. You smiled.
"Can I pick the movie?" You asked childishly.
"Just today. But no chick flicks." He answered.
"But, Kei..." You pouted
He sighed. He pushed you slowly from the hug then poked your nose.
"Fine, but just for today."
Tsukishima Kei maybe annoying and sarcastic all the time, but he knows when to play with your heartstrings. He knows when to make you smile.
He is indeed your moon underneath the darkness.

Its was a tiring day. There were a lot of things going on your mind. You opened the door to your apartment to whom you are sharing with your boyfriend. You dropped your bag and slumped yourself at the sofa. You gently closed your eyes as you sighed. You hated month end. It was full of deadlines and work reports.
You suddenly felt a soft tap on your nose and saw your boyfriend. He sat beside you as he wrapped you into a warm embrace.
"Are you okay, darling?"
"I'm just tired. I hate my work today."
He kissed your forehead and placed one of his hand, lifting your chin. You met his olive eyes.
"Don't lose that smile, baby. That's just work. You are stronger than this. Come on, lets go out and have some dinner."
He pulled you up and placed his car keys in his pocket (which was on the coffee table). You smiled to yourself.
You are indeed should be smiling. After all, you have Akaashi Keiji to charge you up everytime you are feeling down. You are one heck of a lucky girl.

Hi. So, call me Rin, and I’ve been writing fanfictions since high school. I just recently decided to place some of my old fanfics here (from FF.net). I also decided to place new ones here. Writing has been my escape from anxiety and depression.
In the future, I wish I can do match-ups. But for the meantime, short drabbles and head canons will do.
