Specifically for the Batfam (Bruce, Dick, Barbara, Jason, Tim, and Damian) and the Valeska twins.
Do note I'll get to them when I feel like it. (God, that reads like I'm being passive-aggressive). This is more for fun and there might just be some requests that I don't get to for several reasons. I either don't know how to approach it, I'm not too interested in it, I forgot about it, or I just don't have the time. Hope that you understand that I'm not trying to be mean or anything.
When requesting please tell me if you want a headcanon or a one-shot. I have a characterized batsis reader that I'm developing and mainly writing about now, but an uncharacterized batsis reader or reader is fine. If they are characterized please give one at least one personality trait.
I DON'T WRITE...
Male reader- I'm female and go by female pronouns. So I feel awkward writing a male reader since I do project myself onto the reader and I also feel like I'd mess it up somehow. How would that be possible? I don't know, but I'd do it somehow.
Smut- I mean I'm not against writing it, but I don't plan on writing smut now. Suggestive is fine. Maybe in the future.
Anything that is not a reader-insert.
This is all I can think of off the top of my head.
I DO WRITE...
Fluff and Angst- I'm on the angsty start and fluffy ending train 24/7. Though full-blown angst is fine.
Depression/Suicidal Ideation- It's something I and many people in my life struggle with. It is a topic I understand and feel comfortable writing about. I'm not too keen on other mental illnesses or disorders.
Gore- I mean like I'm not too afraid of writing about explicit violence.
Yandere- Most if not all my post are about yanderes even though they haven't displayed any yandereness. Regardless I'm willing to write about it.
Can't think of what else to add right now.
It's obvious that I rushed this isn't it? Don't worry I'll edit it later. I say that but watch me forget about this in a day.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know even if you haven't posted in a while I love your writing. You have such a creative mind, and the way you write Jeremiah is the most perfect/accurate fan writing of him I've seen. I love your story spinning so much. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us, and I hope you have a great day! đĽ°đđ¤ŠđĽ°
Oh wow! I'm surprised people or at least someone is still reading any of my stuff. Let alone the Jeremiah writings. Considering Batfam and Batsis is the most gets the most attention .
But thanks for the compliment Anon. This was actually really sweet of you and you've really brightened up a shitty week for me. đ
I found this while trying to clean up my writing drafts. Not sure when I wrote this, but I decided to post it because why not.
Jerome Route
If she had no friends, that connection with Barbara, or relationship with Jeremiah then Jerome would have a considerably easier time charming y/n. The emotional neglect from the family makes her desperate for any sort of contention leading her right into the hands of Jerome.
The family would believe that y/n can be saved, but she sees them trying to save face. Trying to stop her from telling Jerome all the big bad Batman's secrets by saying they're sorry and that they care. She doesn't end up telling him about their identities because someone has to keep Gotham safe. She's with Jerome, but she doesn't agree with everything he does.
y/n might purposefully sabotage Jerome's schemes. It's not because she cares for the family, no. It's for Batman and his Robins to keep innocent people safe. She keeps the family and their personas separate. At least she'll try to see them as separate.
Her logic is backwards and hypocritical, but frankly she doesn't care enough anymore. All that matters is Jerome's love. Who needs friends or family when you can have Jerome?
y/n and Jerome probably argued over wedding ideas.. Jerome wants a circus theme with a replica of his mom as a pinata. While y/n wants a traditional, elegant wedding. They compromise by letting y/n have that traditional vibe with the ceremony and Jerome can go batshit with the reception.
Jerome never put so much thought into something before and he never wants to do that again.
The Batfamily was not invited of course. The family most likely hears about it or even sends wedding photos. y/n probably has Joker or some other villain walk her down the aisle. Bruce sulks about it for months.
Post-Spray Jeremiah Route
If y/n had no one else besides Jeremiah and her moral compass was cracked. Then of course she's almost going to believe everything he tells her.
There's no denying that Gotham is a modern day Babylon. Yeah, the world would be better without it. Maybe it would be a good thing if we do get rid of it. Yeah, we could rebuild it!
But she'll run into the same problem of not fully following Jeremiah's ideology. At least how he goes about obtaining the goal of cleaning up Gotham. The cult stuff freaks her out a lot. When his followers bow down to her and praise her, she'll tell them to stop but he orders them to do that.
After expressing her discomfort over the cult and the followers' behavior, Jeremiah will distance her from it. Having her become sheltered in the bunker or a manor hidden away in the woods. Meaning the only relationship she can have with anyone who isn't Jeremiah is Ecco. Even then Ecco is just another follower that was trained to be a guard dog.
This version of y/n wouldn't be too involved compared to the Jerome route. But if Jeremiah was caught and sent to Arkham, y/n is sneaking in to break him out. It could be by disguising herself as a guard or forcefully entering it with full confidence.
The family would try to reason with her if only they could actually talk to her. Again since she's not hands on it's a rarity for them to see her.
The few times they've met face to face was when their hero personas. Jeremiah and Ecco were busy fighting off the others, giving them time to talk. If they try to convince her to leave him, she'll either ignore it or tell them about how he's all she ever had. The only family member that could possibly break through to y/n would probably be Jason or maybe even Barbara.
Jeremiah and y/n get offended when they're compared to Joker and Harley. They'll clearly be different because they have a healthy and loving relationship. People probably come up with the comparison because of his physical appearance and he hates it. They're not wrong when they say their relationship is loving, but it being healthy is debatable.
y/n is more than willing to kill or torture someone if they were to do anything to Jeremiah. Though once again her hands are off, but doesn't mind getting her hands dirty.
y/n is the type to write like love letters and put them into Jeremiah's pocket before he leaves. He's in the middle of fighting Batman and suddenly a pink paper with a red heart border falls out of his pocket. Seeing it makes him scramble to grab it and shove it back into his pocket. He'll read it later.
This y/n might live a more semi-normal life, but probably struggles with loneliness and depression. Since Jeremiah is often working and Ecco is Ecco.
Sprayed Route
The moment y/n realizes what is happening she goes to Jeremiah and contacts Barbara who informs the family. They'd probably find a cure, but for the sake of story and angst let's say they can't.
Everyone is just forced to watch y/n become what essentially a Joker lookalike. Or she could look completely the same, doesn't really matter because they'll all be horrified by the drastic change.
She'd use the knowledge of their identities against them. Dangling it above their heads, but it isn't long before they realize that she isn't going to say anything. Oh, but she's definitely telling Jeremiah all about this. Of course he swears to never tell anyone and he might start working with the family to lock y/n up.
Not only was she endangering herself, but others as well. The best thing for everyone is to lock her up.
If she learns about Jeremiah working against her. She'd be so heartbroken. Violently throwing and smashing everything in the room she was in before coming up with an idea. 'He'd never be against me, they probably forced him to work for them. It's all their fault. They always ruin everything, but I won't let them take him.'
Out of all of the other possible routes this y/n would be the most vindictive. She'll guilt trip the family with her sob stories of their neglect, their personas won't won't react. But she knows they'll be thinking about what she said hours later. She'll spit out insults and won't hold back fighting.
Her once passive and defensive fighting style has completely flipped to almost recklessly aggressive. The only way she'll stop fighting back is if they restrain or knock her out.
Arkham isn't hard for her to adjust to. She'll explain to her few visitors (Jeremiah, Barbara, and Alfred) that it reminds her of Wayne manor. But less lonely.
Barbara and Alfred are the only family members she'll allow to visit her. As she still has a bit of a soft spot for them. Will not admit it, but she's always pleasantly surprised when Babs visits her or Alfred sends her some of his cooking. It almost makes her tear up and feel immense sadness. Just almost.
Probably besties with Riddler or something. Most Arkham inmates know of the name Jeremiah Valeska by how much y/n will mindlessly ramble about him. They also know not to mess with him because they'll be put on top of her shit list.
I'm happy to see that people are liking the "My Friend y/n Wayne". The main idea was going to be Norah going off on the Batfam since y/n isâŚy/n (I mean that in the nicest way y/n is like a child to me).
But it eventually evolved into what it would look like from an outsider's POV. You have this wet cat of a friend talking about her dysfunctional family. You obviously try to help her get away from that and it seems to work. The next few years are alright, until the family suddenly comes back into the picture. A while putting up a perfect family facade as they try to drag your wet cat of a friend back home.
Yandere! Batfam x Batsis! Reader
Summary: Norah was y/n's closest friend. Well she might have been her only friend.
y/n had trouble making friends. The thought of meeting and talking with someone she never met was stressful. What if she said something weird? What if she wasn't talking enough? What if she was talking too much? She never really had too much time interacting with people in the past.
She went to gala's and put on a false smile while staying close to her family. She went to school, but she never went out of her way to talk to her peers. She was never one to make the first move. While of course there were some attempts at befriending the Wayne. She hardly had the time to hangout outside of school. Leading to some alienation.
Yet there was one girl that somehow stuck around. Eleanor Spencer or just Norah. She didn't pester y/n to hangout or force her into something. They're friendship was like a cat and its owner. y/n is off doing her own thing mostly, if not all the time and Norah is willing to wait with open arms. Norah had her own life of course. She wasn't waiting to be at some random person's beck and call, regardless of if they're a Wayne or not.
Still it was a nice dynamic for the two. Any school activities or even social events y/n Wayne would skitter over to Norah and almost hide behind her. Shielding herself from other people as if she didn't have any power behind her name. As if she wasn't a Wayne but then again that could have been why y/n clung to Norah so much.
Their status or name didn't matter to Norah. She was also so confident in herself but not to the point of being cocky. She never cared for what others thought of her while she kept true to herself. She was kind yet never let others push her or others around.
Norah was everything y/n wanted to be and maybe to an extent Norah saw that. She wanted to teach the girl to have a backbone, but y/n always had a bleeding heart.
There were only a handful of times Norah had been to the Wayne manor. They were always for y/n's birthday. She can remember her 9th birthday and how many kids were running around the backyard. There were some parents huddled together chatting with each.
All the other kids were playing while y/n clung to what was her older brother, Jason Todd. Norah remembers how he looked so fed up with the whole thing and overheard him asking Bruce if he could leave when y/n went to the bathroom. Of course the man told him no without hesitation and he pouted which made Norah roll her eyes.
It was only after Jason's death was when the big birthday parties for y/n stopped. It was clear as day how much her adopted brother's death hurt her as she started skipping school and rarely saw out in public. Even though Norah was a little young, she could see how she looked at Jason as if he put the stars in the sky just for her. Considering the snippets of memories she has of the two, she's sure Jason would have if he could.
After that she always tried to make sure the desk next to her was empty. If y/n did come into school, she didn't want her panicky looking for a place to sit. Norah wanted to be her safety net and it seemed like y/n notice as she'd always give her a small smile. Seeing that smile regardless of how small it was made Norah return one of her own with a little nod. Almost as if they were saying thank you and no problem.
Then came Tim Derek. He was only adopted just about nearly a year after Jason had passed. At first it seemed like Tim was pestering y/n and often whispering to y/n about God knows what. He acts like he idolized y/n for some reason while also treating her like an animal he's about to dissect. It was weird and clearly put y/n on edge which meant Norah had to do something.
It often led to Norah dragging y/n away to talk about "important girl stuff" that was top secret. The two would look over their shoulder to make sure Tim wasn't following them. y/n would always give an apologetic grin with a wave and Norah would give a sharp glare as if she'd cut him into two if he followed them.
That period wouldn't last long as it didn't take long for the two to start actually being friends. Norah doesn't know what made them shift to this, but she didn't mind as long as y/n was comfortable. Though she can say that she never really got around to being that close to Tim no matter how much y/n tried to push her two friends together. They just never clicked.
That's just how they worked.
Until the last years of highschool. y/n suddenly have more free time. It was almost like she was let off a leash and taking in her freedom. She joined clubs, did a lot of volunteering, and even got a boyfriend that would end in travesty. Norah knew there was something different about him but she never said anything since he made y/n happy. That was a whole can of worms that didn't need to be opened today.
All that really mattered to Norah was that y/n was safe and happy.
With all that free time she began to become really good friends with y/n. They weren't just acquaintances anymore as they have had sleepovers nearly every night at Norah's. She even learned that y/n was skilled in many arts including illustrations, culinary, and even martial arts.
Of course y/n taught her the basic martial arts though she'd always shy away from any complications given. Always saying, "I'm not that good. You should see Tim fight, he's ten times better than me." The thought of that scrawny nerd being a better fighter than y/n always made Norah chuckle under her breath.
It wasn't uncommon to see the two glued to each other. Norah did theater and other clubs to build up her resume, while y/n did fencing and charity. They mentally promised each other to never miss each other's events. y/n would always show up to Noah's musicals with the most colorful bouquet despite Norah only being a background character. In turn Norah would show up to y/n's fencing matches and would cheer for y/n at the top of her lungs even if she got a few weird looks.
Over the years, Norah helped her become more disconnected from her family. y/n has explained a few times about how lonely it was living in the Wayne manor. She'd talk about how there really wasn't any there for her except for her butler, but even then he'd have had his own things to do. Her brothers weren't in her life anymore despite living under the same roof.
Even when she did get some attention it was usually from her younger brother. Bruce Wayne's only biological child, Damian. Damian was known for having a bit of a temper, but overall indifferent most of the time. y/n talked about some of the insults that were hurled at her. How Bruce basically told her to ignore it. It felt like she was holding back some details, yet Norah couldn't push for more answers when even talking about it made y/n tear up.
Norah began to understand y/n's people-pleasing behavior. While there wasn't anything inherently wrong with wanting to please someone. It wasn't healthy to hang onto other's approval and validation like it was your lifeline. So Norah did her best to help y/n break some habits and get her out of that emotionally neglectful environment. It was slow work. Yet Norah made sure to be patient with y/n. Things like things weren't easy, it was only natural.
The biggest step y/n took towards Independence was moving out. Getting a nice apartment for herself. Though her father was paying for everything until she finished with college and got a steady income. At least he did something Norah guessed, but it was too little too late in her opinion. Still it was victory for y/n and Norah couldn't be happier for her.
Not being used to living alone she asked Norah to sleep over for a couple nights. Since her boyfriend was too busy being a nerd. Norah never saw what made Xander so special, but whatever. Whenever there was anything y/n needed help with, Norah would always try to find a solution.Â
It was almost funny in a way. Norah had never cared too much about anyone aside from family and here came y/n Wayne. The embodiment of a shivering wet cat. Norah wanted nothing more than for that poor forgotten cat to turn into a tiger. y/n was far from becoming that fearless tiger, but at least she wasn't shivering wet cat anymore.
Things were looking up for the two friends. Until Gotham was welcomed to another psycho. The charity ball certainly gave this new member of the community a warm welcome filled with screams and blood. Oh, but sweet y/n became the apple of their eye.
y/n was swiftly taken away by the new villain when the police showed up. Norah constantly hits herself for not going to that gala to protect y/n, but what would she really have done? It wasn't surprising y/n had a target on her when she's a Wayne, regardless of if it was planned on or not.
The new psycho had y/n ride in the car with him along with one of his henchmen. From what y/n recounts the bastard was talking normally in a sense. He still had erratic behavior, but somehow spoke casually. They had a conversation though y/n said it was more one-sided than anything else.
She was sitting in the backseat with her hands being tied together behind her. He and the henchmen were in the front. Both had guns and- God damn. Norah wanted to ask why the hell y/n thought it'd be a good idea when she first heard it. He was driving.
Whoever tied her hands together clearly didn't know how to tie their own shoes together because she was able to slip out of them. With her hands free, y/n immediately started strangling him. This took him by surprise and the car started to swerve. She and the henchmen momentarily froze when he started laughing at what she was doing. It was like he wasn't even registering what she was doing.
The henchmen grabbed her arm with one hand and by the hair with the other. No matter how hard they tried to pull they couldn't get her to budge. y/n was seemingly hellbent on strangling this man.
The last thing y/n remembers was the non stop laughing from the man as she slowly lost his breath. And in the corner of her eye she saw the henchmen pull something out of their pocket. That's when they crashed. That's how y/n woke up in the hospital bed with Norah, her boyfriend, and Tim waiting beside her bed. She seemed more surprised that Tim was there than learning she hadn't been shot. To be honest Norah was a little surprised when she saw Tim walk in.
The two girls noticed how distraught y/n's boyfriend was getting when she told her story. It wouldn't have been so odd if he wasn't normally so stoic. Tim suggested that Norah take y/n's boyfriend out to calm down while he talked with y/n. Norah didn't want to leave y/n behind, but she knew y/n wasn't in any danger. y/n seemed fine with this and her boyfriend did look like he was on the verge of a panic attack.
It took almost half an hour for her boyfriend to calm down. When they returned y/n was already out of her hospital gown and in some casual clothes. Norah didn't have to ask when y/n explained that she was going back to the manor. Tim added that she would be safer there.
This was when things really started to go downhill.

Shout-out to that Teehee anon. I don't know how you did, but you got me out of my writing low. Writing ditch? I don't know, but I feel oddly motivated getting those two asks and it's just nice getting back into writing.
same person who said teehee(batfam related again xx)
so anyway!!!
you also mentioned that Selina likes y/n, and I seriously need a small drabble w their interactions! I bet that's why y/n likes cats so much! cause she was hanging out with Selina or with Selina in almost all her patrols hihihi
I hope you enjoy this anon. I just made them into HC, I hope you don't mind. Though if you aren't satisfied with it feel free to send another ask. đ
Selina meets y/n when she takes the role of Batgirl. It's an average night for Gotham. Stealing jewels and whatever catches Selina's eyes. Then there's a little squabble with Batman.
She puts down her bag of stolen goods to fight. She is so focused on fighting with Batman that she almost doesn't notice the figure taking her bag and starts trifling though it. They take whatever they're looking for and place it back to where it belongs.
Batman and Selina are fighting while Batgirl! y/n is trying to put everything back to the way it was.
Oh, no there's some broken glass! Batgirl! y/n goes to the janitor's closet to grab a broom and sweeps up the glass. She might have pulled out the mop if she didn't notice an opening for her to strike.
The kick to the back didn't hurt Selina in the slightest, it just caught her off guard. Though Batgirl! y/n acts like she just stabbed Selina.
Blabbering about how she's sorry and hoped that it didn't hurt too much. But Selina fondly remembers how Batgirl! y/n admitted that she thought her cat ears looked cute.
After that they'll have little interactions every so often.
Maybe if they have a fight or something Selina will say, "You don't want to get hurt do you, Kitty?" Then young Batgirl! y/n smiles. Slightly puffs out her chest, "I'm no Kitty. I'm a Chickadee, that's what my Mama called me." Selina then just calls her Chickadee after that.
Young y/n finds out about Selina's real identity when at a Gala. She's probably goofing off with Tim or just sitting alone bored when she hears a familiar voice call her Chickadee.
She thinks it's a big secret knowing who Catwoman really is. Doesn't tell Bruce or even Tim even though they knew long before her. Thinks she hot shit with this information and believes she's just best friends with Selina than the other two. No, y/n you aren't supposed to befriend the criminals!
Honestly a few villains might hear about the little nickname y/n was giving and mock her. "What are you going to do about it, Chickadee?" She always pouts a little before saying, "You aren't allowed to call me that!"
If there was a big fight going on, Batgirl! y/n was severely injured Selina would jump in. Depending on how bad the injury is she'll either defend y/n from anymore harm or just kidnap her.
y/n wakes up in a cozy bed with some cats laying around her. She's convinced she's found haven. Spends the rest of the night with Selina as she introduces y/n to all her cats.
They just have a little soft spot for each.
y/n wants hugs. She's a touch starved goblin, but she's too scared to ask. Though if she just asked Selina, she'd gladly give her as many as she wanted.
At the start y/n isn't given too much "freedom" during patrols. She's still young, inexperienced, and not to mention she can be a bit innocent. Though when she has a few years under her belt, I could see Bruce begrudgingly letting her patrol on her own.
This isn't where the family neglect starts, so Bruce is pretty connected to her. Not to mention that Jason was probably still in the back of his mind.
I couldn't really see y/n being one to skip patrol duty. Too much of a goody-two-shoes to really do that. Though I could see Selina coming by to play around and distract her from her duty.
Selina could be doing this from boredom or wanting to see the girl relax. A kid shouldn't be so serious. They should be growing up and being care free. She'd also like for y/n to grow up and not become so brooding like her father. Though thankfully y/n is willing to entertain Selina from time to time.
If things are calm, they might sit in alleyways to pet stray cats while chatting. Their conversations are nothing serious and quiet mindless honesty, but it's nice.
They can both just take a breath and bask in the cuteness of the alley cats.
I made a drawing of what I picture Batsis! y/n to look like.
Of course she looks like whatever you want her to look like. That the beauty of y/ns.
Some Batsis! y/n headcanon
For her first birthday at the manor, she wanted a pearl necklace. Specifically a black pearl because it had reminded her of her late grandmother's necklace. Then at the same time she struggled with wanting a white pearl one because she liked how it looked in the portrait of Martha Wayne.
When explaining her little dilemma to Jason, he just rolled his eyes and said to ask for two necklaces. y/n argued that she would only need and wear one. Then he told her to just have both pearls on the same necklace. He didn't understand why she was getting so worked up about something when she should be focusing on her fighting stance.
Once y/n was gifted the necklace, she never wanted to take it off. You'd rarely see her without it.
Until one day it just broke. Pearls fall to the ground and she's scrambling to get them back. One falls down the sewer drain and she's in tears. She gets back home and she is just heartbroken. Actually, I'd like to touch on this a little more and will be writing a one-shot about it.
In the end she ends up making earrings out of them. It isn't until she moves out the manor that she stops wearing them.
The Flash is her favorite superhero. The first time she was 13/14 years old met him she had a crush on him. He was just every out going, funny, and kind.
Now that I think about it. Maybe y/n's into red heads. She's crushing on Berry and Babs for a bit then goes on to dating a Valeska.

teehee I have a small thought (batfam related, yk that one where y/n gets killed)
imagine if y/n was brought back by the pit, but instead of being a "shell" in that hc u made, she becomes completely stoic, like just blurts out what she was feeling back when she was neglected with the most blank expression ever, I imagine it being more focused on bruce and Damian since yk..bruce was the shittiest parent ever, and Damian with his sparky ass insults.
YouâŚGod, damnit Anon. You summoned me and I suddenly have the motivation to write after reading your two requests.
I don't know if you wanted a one-shot or HC. So I just went with a HC because it's much easier to push out. Though if you want me to make a one-shot feel free to ask. I'll take 7 years to write it. Though at the end I did sort of a one-shot.
Damian should have known something was wrong when y/n didn't start thrashing around and attacking anything that moved after crawling out of the pit. She just stared at her hands, clenching them into firsts and then unclenching them slowly.
Maybe Damian was too relieved to see y/n breathing and moving to really care. Maybe he thought that she was just in shock. Coming back to life isn't always expected and it can take a real toll on someone.
Not to mention that y/n was, compared to her brothers, far weaker. Not just physically, but mentally as well. So it's not surprising that she was so docile, right? It's only a matter of time before that effect wears off and she'll be normal. Or something close to normal.
Okay, maybe deep down Damian knew that there was a chance that he wasn't getting y/n back. Everyone knew that there was no getting her back, but he was willing to take the risk. He came this far and it didn't take long for Bruce to pick up on what his youngest was doing.
Damian has his big sister back and he's not going to let her go again. It's only a matter of hours before Bruce comes breaking down the door to drag them back to Gotham. So Damian took the time to clean up y/n.
She was still in her funeral clothes for goodness sake. She reeked of death, but that didn't stop the boy from hugging her tightly.
While getting cleaned up, she doesn't say a thing. Or even make a lot of noise. It was almost like she was still dead.
By the time Bruce gets there, he's not surprised by Damian's actions. He thought of doing the same thing, but he couldn't bring himself to do such a thing. He couldn't disrespect her life by bringing her back. How could he dare think of that when she looked so at peace when she died.
He remembers how her body was tense before it became horrifyingly relaxed. There was a fear of death in those [eye color] eyes, he knows because he saw it. But it was so quick and fleeting that he could have missed it if he wasn't so close.
In a twisted way he wished y/n had clung on to him just like she did when she was a wide eyed little girl and cried. Cry that she didn't want to die. Cry that it was too early to leave now. Cry that she didn't want to leave them.
But all she did was give a crooked smile and mumble to herself as blood dribbled down her chin. She spoke incoherent things to herself. A name or two slipped from her cold lips, but they weren't ones of her family. From what he gathered it was just a close friend and her significant other's name. She died thinking of those who cared and loved her back. Not of the family that she couldn't stand to be around.
Even when her own adopted father held her dying from close, they were far from her line of thought.
So seeing y/n alive was gut reaching for Bruce. There was no pain, anger, sadness, or joy on her face. She was just there. Staring at him with an uncomfortable indifference.
Damian was ready to start a fight with Bruce. Not a physical one, but he would cross that line if he needed to. He was ready to defend himself in what he thought was best for y/n. Yet Bruce lets out a quiet sigh and tells that it's time to come home. How anticlimactic.
The plane ride back to Gotham is long and quiet. It also felt cramped by how close Damian was to y/n and unwilling to give her too much space.
By the time they made it back to the manor, everyone was caught up to date. The development is surprising to some while others not so much.
Everyone is in the bat cave. Gathered around to see y/n back from the dead. The silence is deafening as they wait for something. Just something from her, but she walked past them all. Out of the cave and to where her room was. Nothing was out of place in her room, though it was mostly empty after she had moved out a few years ago. She laid on her bed and slept as if nothing was amiss.
That's where the family infighting starts. Question of was this the right thing. What are going to do now? Why the hell did you think this was a good idea? There's going to be a lot of hash words being shared, but at the end of the day what was done was done and they had y/n back. They weren't going to mess up the second time.
Did they really get a second chance because it didn't feel like it. A week would pass and y/n has yet to come out of her room. She's alive and breathing because the trays of food left outside her door are always empty.
The camera's installed while she slept showed that she was doing nothing. All she did was lay in bed. She'd get up to use her private bathroom, but other than that there wasn't much. She was rotting away alone in her room.
This rang familiar bells in Alfred, Bruce, and Tim's head. y/n wasn't prone to long depressive episodes, so this could be something similar. The lack of socializing and excessive oversleeping was typically a big red sign for them to do something. In the past they would not force, but push her into doing social things or at least being out of her room.
They could approach this situation the same way, but they'd have to be extra careful. This was a unique and tricky situation to be in. It was also odd if not worrying that she hasn't succumbed to lazarus fever.
They could try to bribe y/n out of her room with activities that have to do with her old hobbies.
"Alfred is baking today, he said might need some help."
"I just stole the keys to the batmobile, you wanna take it for a ride?"
"Hey, do you want toâŚum, play a video game with me. I remember we used to play Hellflight Deadcraze a lot. They came out with the 3rd game. I just bought it today, so...Yeah."
Though the likelihood of that working is low. If they're really desperate to interact with her, they might as well just bust down her door.
At some point all the poking and prodding is going to irritate y/n. Whoever popped her bubble is going to be on the receiving end of pent up emotions.
I don't believe y/n would ever intentionally say how much the family's treatment harmed her. Again it would bubble up and fester for a while before she explodes. The thing about y/n is that she has an inferiority complex. In her life she aimed to please and help.
She understands that Gotham is dangerous. A lot of people need help and she couldn't bring herself to pull them away from their job. To her it would be like pulling a fireman away from a fire to chat as people burned alive. Even if the fire was out the fireman would be tired and need to rest, so she couldn't just pull them wherever she wanted to go. She shouldn't pester them.
In y/n's eyes, she was never worthy of being a hero because she wasn't good enough. She was never worthy of being with the family because she wasn't helping enough. She should do this to prove her worth. She's not worthless because she can do this for you and this as well!
She embodies inferiority and self-loathing. Someone that feels insignificant and has the strong urge to do more. She has- or had in this situation, hope. Hope that she'll be worthy of love. Love, affection, praise is what drives her and will seek it out if she's desperate. If she does ask or seek it out she'll be feeling guilty since she didn't really do anything to get it. In her mind she was being greedy and she couldn't help herself.
Bonus
"Just stop. Leave me alone." Her voice was almost pleading as she gripped the wrapped gift box. The gift was a symbol of peace, almost a treaty. That's all it was supposed to be, but she acts as if she had been spat in the eye.
Seeing that Bruce wasn't listening to her, she dug her nails into the gift. Almost tearing into the [favorite color] wrapped paper. He stood before her like an unmoving entity. The longer he stood by the more she wanted to snap into herself. She didn't want to slowly curl into a ball. She wanted to snap herself together with a violent and almost sickening crack. This just wasn't fair.
Clenching her jaw, her voice became much colder. It wasn't as cold as the middle of winter, yet it still had a chill to it.
"I thought you'd get it that I didn't want this. I shut you out, but you- all of you just keep buzzing. None of you are getting the hint. You just keep coming back louder than before. Why can't you let me be alone? Why can't you act overworked and tired? Why can't you just leave things the way they were?"
Bruce was conflicted upon hearing her say that and would try to claim that everything is going to come around. Everything always comes around in the end and this wouldn't be any different. They are going to get through this as a family.
y/n's frown would deepen and her eyes would furrow at his attempt at comfort. She looks as if she just ate something that was expired, leaving her mouth with nothing but a nasty sour taste.
"Because we're family." She whispered to herself before almost grimacing at the words. Her voice became sharp and cold as a blade, "I don't understand why you'd suggest that I was still a part of the family. I don't think I've been family for a good while now."
She clicked her tongue as she dropped the gift box while looking Bruce in the eyes. "Come on, you can't say you cared about me after I stopped being useful. When did you realize that I wasn't anything special? Was it when I kept crying about punching villains or when I was too slow to teach."
Seeing the conflicted look in his blue eyes confused her. Why would the truth conflict someone unless it was pity. Even after all this she's just a pitiful little crybaby to him. One good hit and she's out wailing on the floor for someone to kiss her boo-boo away.
Somehow this hurt her. Her pounding heart felt like it was twisting on itself. She wanted to cry and laugh at how she thought things couldn't get any worse. Then somehow it did. The universe, the world, the Wayne had proved her wrong yet again. It was as funny as it was sad.
She could have broken down there, but she needed to hear it. She had to hear the truth, so she kept twisting her heart with her own hands. It didn't matter how much it hurt.
"Or maybe you were in denial? You had wasted a lot of time and resources on a dud. Then Damian threw cold water on you and left you shivering, right? I'm just leeching off of you and the others. ThenâŚThen you choose them over me. I was an afterthought, or is that being too generous? Did I ever circulate in your mind before this?"
Her voice was becoming shrill and gruff like she was on the verge of tears. "When did you realize that I was dead weight, Batman? Did I make Bruce Wayne look more caring to the people when I talk about how much I love my family? Did my life serve any use or was I always just a speck of dirt on your shoes?"
Those words were far from the truth, yet with how she spoke Bruce knew that she believed in all that she was saying. Each and every word was true to her. Honestly he didn't know what to say. This was all too much. Having to hear your own child degrade themselves with such honesty was heartbreaking.
Taking his silence as a sort of confirmation, y/n ordered him to leave and of course he did. He'd fix this somehow. He just needed time. They needed time.
I cut off the ending because I didn't want to write too much. Anyway I hope you enjoyed it. I haven't proofread this, Google Doc says there aren't any errors (probably a lie), and it's 3 in the morning. Goodnight.
Hello, could I make a request for a Barbara Gordon x reader please( man that sounds pushy) if it could be fluffy that would be amazing. There isnât a whole lot on her. If you donât want to write it thatâs okay. Have a good day or night
Subtlety Relax
Barbara Gordon x Fem! Reader
Barbara has always been enthusiastic about her work. It was something y/n respected and supported regardless of her worries with vigilantism. Even after being wheelchair-bound, y/n would have thought that was where she'd end that line of work. Of course, she shouldn't doubt her girlfriend for a millisecond.
y/n is happy that Barbara is doing something that's she passionate about and actively helping save lives even if it's not directly anymore. She is happy for her, but y/n has noticed a few things.
Sometimes Barbara forgets to keep work at work and relax. There's always a new case that needs to be solved. Another threat to the city. y/n isn't sure what to do since she's not in that particular line of work. She was nothing more than a civilian. What right did she have to speak to Barbara about something she's been doing for years?
It just didn't seem right, so she always opted to be on the sidelines. Being a good girlfriend by cheering Barbara on and doing anything to help out. That worked for them for a while, but sometimes things become too much. She'd either bite more than she can chew or be burned out.
Playful remarks would become snappy, hiding her frustration. It was always unpleasant for everyone, so y/n did something she'd never done before. Pull Barbara away from something.
She didn't forcefully make Barbara drop her work. No, that could lead to an argument and resistance. Maybe even distancing herself from y/n. What y/n did was make small efforts to relax Barbara whenever they were together.
A normal afternoon becomes a trip to the massage parlor. A small date at y/n's apartment becomes a candle-lit dinner with Barbara's favorite dishes. Just before bedtime, y/n coincidentally ran a bubble bath and it's a shame to enjoy it alone.
There's also a lot of lavender scents because when she looked up things that can calm someone. Lavender oils were one of the first results.
In all honesty, y/n thought she was being subtle with it. Somehow y/n has once again doubted Barbara.
"I know what you're trying to do." Barbara watched y/n closely. Her eyes widened slightly before going back to normal. "Doing what? What am I even doing?" She laughed.
"You've never been into scented oils or lavender. Even when you aren't around I can still smell the lavender." y/n's face fell for a moment, but she still tried to play it off. "Okay, you don't like lavender. I'll throw out anything that has lavender." Barbara raised an eyebrow wondering if y/n would do as she said. A part of her says she wouldn't, but it wouldn't be out of character. If Barbara asked y/n to jump, she'd ask how high.
Being under Barbara's watchful eyes made y/n squirm but not crack. Not yet. "What? Do you think I'm going to, I dunno know, take over the world with lavender?" She laughed while Barbara kept a stone face.
A simple act made y/n crumble. When Barbara held her hand and said her name while looking at her with those blue eyes, who wouldn't crumble? Or slightly crack at the very least. y/n sighed, tilting her head back and her shoulders lost all tension in them.
"You've been stressed with work and I thought I'd just- I dunno. I didn't want to distract you or anything, so I made reservations for the massage parlor. I somehow burnt water trying to cookâ" The woman cut y/n off with a deep kiss.
"What-?"
She didn't let y/n express her confusion. "Thank you. I appreciate it, but next time you can tell me to get off the laptop."
"Can I pull it out of your hands and throw it out the window?"
"Not if you want to pay for a new one."
She huffed, "That's fair, I suppose."
I'm sorry. This is so trash and I wasn't exactly sure what to write. I tried to push this out to focus on other things I'm currently writing.
Thank the person who requested this for being such a sweetheart and I'm sorry it turned out like this.
I have an idea. It's nothing new. I wrote nearly 5 pages of this idea, but I'm too scared to post it since it's filler and I even drew a cover. So I will ramble about this idea through headcanon.
Some Jerome x Reader, Iâm sorry. I canât help myself. CW: One mention of suicide.
y/n wakes up to find that her life has gotten a major upgrade. Any flaws that her family has is erased. Did mom drink away stress? Now she doesnât even touch alcohol. Dad isnât smoking away his life. Her older brother is a law-abiding citizen who is studying to become a lawyer. Her younger brother is more positive about life and growing up in a home that they wished they had.
Not to mention that theyâre rich. She no longer lives in a bad neighborhood and sleeps in a snazzy mansion.
Life is looking up until y/n turns on the TV with a news story about a man killing corrupt people with weather balloons.
She sits there thinking, âThis was nice, but I should be getting back home.â
Maybe y/nâs close friends with Bruce beforehand. Thatâs when she realizes that she has to learn about the other y/nâs life. She canât risk telling anyone about âweâre in a shitty TV showâ without everyone considering throwing her into a mental institution. Tough luck because she ends up in Arkham regardless.
She writes down plotlines that she remembers. Making files on the character that she has met. Her files are hidden away in her room and aren't brought up later down the line when a certain person finds them.
How y/n ends up in Arkham is complicated. I want y/n to be completely sane through our POV, so sheâs not going to be âIâm so insane and quirkyâ. Maybe sheâs framed or killed someone in self-defense. Well, okay, I have thought out what gets her thrown into Arkham, but I donât think anyone would find it interesting.
During her trial, the prosecutor will use her history of depression and suicide attempts to paint her as a homicidal. The whole trial is fishy, yet ends with her being locked up.
Bruce believes y/n when she says she hasn't done anything and promises to get her out of there. Legally of course.
Alfred probably tries to keep Bruce from visiting because Arkham has a reputation and doesnât want him to be anywhere near there. The poor boy is going through too much in a short amount of time.Â
So Bruce will send Selina to deliver anything. Or they both run away to visit y/n. When they come back to the manor and Alfred is questioning them, they both lie by saying that theyâre somewhere else.
Bruce just wants to make sure his bestie is alright. Selina is just along for the ride but might visit y/n even when she doesnât need to.
While in Arkham y/n is vibing in her little corner when Jerome starts bugging her. Might tell him about some plotlines just to see if anyone would believe her.
Jerome just laughs it off and starts orbiting y/n because sheâs interesting. She tends to ramble and mumble to herself, for some reason he finds it so cute.
âYouâre kind of funny, but I wouldnât call you a joker.â She says before thinking, âBecause legally you arenât him. Thanks a lot, higher-ups.â
He writes about her in his diary and uses any stickers that she gives him. âYeah, she's weird. Calling people characters and saying that we arenât real, but sheâs my little weirdo. I also got another pack of Hello Kitty stickers from her.â Then he proceeds to doodle her with crayons.
When Theo Galavan surprise adopts them, Jerome starts taking y/nâs words more seriously. Still doesnât believe her when she says he and everyone arenât real. Like how is that possible? He feels real, oh whatever he has no time for that.
At the manor, Bruce is freaking out and dialing Jim begging him to save his bestie from that homicidal ginner. Theo has to make it seem like y/n is a hostage since she refuses to do any killing and Jerome has scary dog privilege.
âThey arenât real. They arenât people.â Sheâd try to tell herself, but she just canât bring herself to try to hurt someone. y/n is one of those freaks who try to drive safely in GTA without running over anyone or anything.
She doesnât think that her words mean anything and that everything will follow the script. Until she tells Jerome to take an extra lighter with him. Sheâs chilling by herself when the news shows footage of a burnt bus and the news anchor talking about the cheerleaders who lost their lives.
Thatâs when y/n starts thinking over everything sheâs said. She debates whether or not she should tell Jerome about Theoâs betrayal.
âThe show does start declining in ratings when heâs killed off. I could be doing the writers a favor, but what about the people? No, characters. Theyâre just characters! They arenât real!â
In the end, Jerome is killed off and sheâs put back into Arkham. Everyone is surprised by how calm she is after Jeromeâs death. Not upset or anything. Like werenât they close? Maybe their relationship was more one-sided.
Jim will question y/n and she might let a few things slip. Most brush her words off as they believe that she has some sort of Stockholm syndrome and is angry at Theo for killing her captor.
Back at Arkham, y/n yells, âFUCK!â When seeing Hugo Strange.
When Theo is dealt with, Jim will visit her or send her a thank you card for pointing him in the right direction regarding the investigation.
Iâm getting tired and I might continue writing about this.
But I was going to have y/n be free from Arkham when some evidence regarding her case comes out. y/n will be outwardly passive throughout the story.
In the end, I was going to have y/n be the one who becomes Joker. Maybe she falls into a tub of chemicals. Donât worry darling you arenât going to be deformed like Jeremiah at the end. Youâll look different, but still smoking hot. đ
Anyway seeing the physical change, her dwindling hope of getting back home, and her mental state being worn out. She decides to step up and take the name of Joker.
Bruce angst all the way. Maybe angst for other characters, but I could see this tearing him apart. Heâs forced to watch his closest friend be replaced by a cackling monster. To then eventually start fighting against her.
She doesnât react to being called y/n anymore, but sheâll give Batman/Bruce a melancholy look if he calls her by that. He doesnât call her y/n often because that wasnât y/n. y/n l/n was dead and there was no way she was coming back.
The theory of Joker being sane will ring true to y/n. She knows this isnât real. Itâs just fiction and any good piece of fiction needs a good villain. Since sheâs not making it back home, sheâll make things fun.

Batsis! y/n would warn her friend or s/o of her family before meeting them. She'd probably invite them for dinner to meet. When warning them she'll write a little file on each family member. She making it seem like they're fucking SCPs.
Alfred the Butler- Not harmful, completely safe to be around. Please treat him nicely. He's every sweet and makes good food. Also every fast, travels 15 to 18 mph.
Bruce Head of the Family- He looks like he'll snap your neck, but probably won't. The worst person to have small talk or try to have a conversation with. Might just teleport behind you, so make sure to look over your shoulder.
Dick the Golden Boy- He makes up for Bruce's silence by talking too much. He'll probably ask about everything because he's nosy and persistent. Just try to answer every question so he can lock on to another target.
Jason Cousin Jonny- Not sure if he'll come over, but please be wary of him. He's fucking tall and will beat you up before shooting you if he feels like it. He probably won't harm you unless you engage with him. He's only there to stuff his face with food, not to socialize.
Tim the Ultra Nerd- He's smart only when he's on coffee, but safe to be around regardless. If he looks like he's about to drop his face on to his plate, it's because he's hasn't slept in two days. He injects caffeine into his bloodstream and should be dead right now.
Damian the Homunculus- He's a little shit. Don't show any weakness and try not to take his words to heart. Actually just try to ignore him to the best of your abilities. He has a temper and is prone to throwing knifes at others. There is no real way to defend yourself just try to run.
I have an idea for a fanfic. No one is going to read it and I don't care until someone comments the most sweetest and heartwarming shit on another fanfic. Forcing me to divert my attention and start writing something else.
I am ashamed at how the littlest of praise motivates me.
