goodbye stranger.

The android found himself staring at the odd ship; unable to identify the materials that were used to craft such an odd-looking ship like this. He gotten errors and unknowns in his vision as he had scanned it. He was about to contact Cyberlife – needing to report his findings to them as the directors of Cyberlife may be interested in what their prototype has found. However, such a report never went through as he had stopped due to the sudden voice that ordered him to get away.

So he steps back, turns and sees a gun pointing at him. It’s not the first time someone decided to point a gun at him to appear more threatening. “ I’m going to fully assume this strange ship belongs to you? ” He saw no reason to lift his arms up due to the gun being pointed at him. Connor lacked the fear ( ——he couldn’t feel such an emotion emulating in his system. ) to do such things like raise his arms when a gun is aimed at him. It’s something that nearly every human does, but not androids. 

Connor remained emotionless and composed, doing what the other had said and stepped more away from the ship. “ Who are you? ” Connor asked, finding himself scanning the other but cannot get any information on him. Hm. That’s… odd. “ And what are you doing here? ” 

    kai spotted the glowing led on the man’s temple, and he frowned in confusion. this guy was clearly an android. he shifted his backpack a little bit, hoping that he wouldn’t notice all the metal parts moving around in his bag. he figured it would be comparable to him finding someone with a bag full of human parts. 

    “ none of your business. and get away from my ship, ” he snapped. usually trips to earth went much more smoothly than this. he wanted to fight him, but he wasn’t sure what androids were capable of. for all he knew, this guy could have lasers in his eyes or some shit. kai wasn’t about to risk his life to fight some random robot. 

             connor stood on the other side of the mirror, watching the suspect as the police around him tried to make sense of the situation. he would go in to interrogate the man soon though the man had done nothing explicitly illegal. however, he had been found with potentially dangerous technology. it had quickly been confiscated by the detroit police & they had tried to find out who this man was… but to no avail.

he is vaguely aware of hank’s stress levels rising beside him as the detective got into a verbal scuffle with one of the other inhabitants of the room… however whatever tension had been building was immediately shattered by the suspect speaking directly to his captors… his smirk indicated confidence. was he underestimating the potential severity of the situation he was in…? he vaguely hears instructions to ‘ make the bastard wait’ & stands stiffly, giving the man a few more minutes of waiting before entering the interrogation room. 

           “ i apologize for the wait. “ he speaks after stepping in the room, his words cool & tempered, “ we were attempting to identify you; it seems you aren’t on any of our files. “

     as the man walked in, kai eyed him carefully. he looked perfectly human, but something about him was off. he had a small blue light on his temple, and the way he spoke and held himself just seemed entirely unnatural. kai crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair, the front legs of it lifting off the ground ever so slightly.

     for a moment, kai considered hiding who he was. after all, why was it any of earth’s business? it might be fun to mess with them a little, anyways. even if they believed him, they barely had the resources to get out of their own solar system, much less to an entirely different one. so he just shrugged and smirked. what could go wrong?

     kai knew his ship was suspicious, sure. he knew that his overall PRESENCE on earth was strange, but he’d been there hundreds of times without anyone noticing anything strange. but it had been quite a while now, and kai had severely underestimated how far their technology had advanced in such a short time.

     which led him to where he was now. sitting in an interrogation room, unsure of what the fuck he was even doing there. he was dragged in by some old guy, and now his mission was just to wait. he looked around curiously, then at the mirror. he smirked, knowing that there were people standing on the other side.
