âUh-oh. Well, I guess this is payback for Qrow passing out in front of my house.â
Terra knew she had the option of just saying to Ruby she didnât want to talk about it, but Saphron put her in a strange position of feeling compelled to answer. Plus, when her and Saphron were Rubyâs age, they already knew what it was.Â
âIâll explain everything in a sec. Iâm putting the vegetables in a separate pan because they cook faster than the meat. Or you can just do what Saph does and put it in the pan when the meat is almost done. She does this so um⌠she has less dishes to wash.â
The smell of the stir fry was filling the air, the spices and mixtures could make any omnivoreâs mouth water. She figured while waiting on the foodâs final preparations, she could explain away Saphronâs joke.
âWe looked into other alternatives, but what we did was the safest. Anything involving Dust or specialists had too many possible complications. Anyway, a âunicornâ in this context is⌠geez this is embarrassing⌠someone who panders to both you and your partnerâs tastes sexually and does not inspire feelings of jealousy between the three of you, tending to everyone equally in bed. Theyâre called this because it is rumored such a situation is as rare as a unicorn.âÂ
âCanât do anything in regards to that.â She chuckled, wondering when the day would come that her Uncleâs liver would give out on him. Sure, aura was useful and all that, but it was a mere crutch and tool to be used, not to be relied upon.
Looking at what the other was doing, she gave a nod, writing that down and wondering whether or not she should ask Saphron for some advice too. From what she got, Terra seemed to be the more theoretical of the two, that followed the rules of the book well. Saphron was the more practical one that applied her own logic to it.
âAh I see; Unfortunately Iâm not willing to share Weiss with anyone. I owe my life to her and sheâs been changed into a Fateless person thanks to me, so weâre somewhat bound to one another.â The topic of fate and destiny was always an interesting one, but Ruby usually kept the whole Fateless stuff a secret.
Then again, Terra and her wife had been nothing, but hospitable and Ruby trusted quite some. âEither way, I added some more spice to my part of the chicken, because I usually eat enough food to satisfy around 12 people or more; Kinda weird side-effect my silver-eyes have.â
