Tony stared at me for a while. His face held confusion and I was trying so hard not to break down. I didnât want to tell him. I didnât want to tell anyone; but I obviously couldnât lie to him anymore. I trusted him though and I knew he wouldnât judge me. Well Atleast I hoped he wouldnât.
âDid I just hear you right?â
âNah man, tell me I heard you wrongâ
âNah, Shelly tell me you ainât just tell me that suck shitâ
âTony please, I donât wanna talk about it. If you donât wanna hang around me anymore I undersandâ
I tried to move away from him, but he tighten his grip on my waist
I stopped and he pulled me back to him by my waist
âYou think Iâd stop fucking with you for this?â
I shrugged my shoulder. I honestly didnât know. By the way he just reacted, Thatâs what I expected.
âMa, Iâm not going no where. What kind of person would I be if I cut you off and I knew you were hurting like this?â
I looked at him and I completely broke down in his arms. I place my hands over my face and he pulled me closer to him and let me cry on his chest. Everything I was holding in was released while he held me crying. I had been holding it in for so long and it felt amazing to finally let it out
I felt him pick me up bridal style and turn the bathroom lights out. He walked us over to his bed and gently placed me underneath his covers. He got up and I wondered what he was doing but a few seconds later the lights went out. He climbed back in the bed and got behind me and pulled me against his body. I flenched when he touched me. No one had ever been so gentle with me. Tony scooted back when he felt me flinch and I sighed
âI-Iâm sorry Shell, I didnât mean to scare youâ
âNo itâs fine. Ju-Just hold me. Pleaseâ
He pulled me close into him and wrapped arms around my body.
âWe can talk when youâre ready love, Iâm so sorry this is happening to youâ
He softly placed a kiss on my cheek and snuggled closer to me. I nodded my head as another tear escaped my eye.
âAre you sleep Tony?â
âNaw, Iâm up mama wassup?â
It had been a few hours and we were just laying here. I had so many things going through my mind but Tony was here for me. I couldnât imagine telling anyone else about this, but I think I could trust Tony enough to explain what was going on.
âOkay, Iâm listeningâ
I turned around so I could face him. We were still close and cuddled up. I wrapped his arm around my waist again. Laying here like this made me feel so safe. This was the only way I wanted to talk about this. Because this was the only way I was comfortable.
âI donât even know where to start honestly. I just know this has been going on for a whileâ
I whispered as a tear spilled out of my eye again. We were speaking low and softly and his room was now pitch black since the sun set a few minutes ago.
âThis been going on for three years?â
âIâm so sorry Shellyâ
âI donât even know how to tell anybody. I mean I want to. Because I want it to stop, but I donât what would happen if I did. Iâm only 17 Tony. I canât live on my ownâ
âShelly, that needs to be the last thing on your mind mama, youâre hurting. You need to worry about helping yourselfâ
âI-I canât talk to anybody about this, I just canâtâ
My crying had become heavier and I freaking out. There was no way I could ever talk about it to anyone. Especially a professional. They would think I was crazy.
âTony, you have to promise you wonât tell anyone. For me. Please. I canât let anyone know about thisâ
âShelly you need to talk to someoneâ
âPlease Tony. I canât. Just please donât tell anyoneâ
âShelly I donât wanna see you hurting like this maâ
âI know. I just donât know how to handle all of this now. I promise Iâll do it eventually. Just not nowâ
âFine. I wonât tell. I promiseâ
He nodded his head. I snuggled up to him once again. Placing my head on his chest. I felt so much better knowing that I had someone on my side. I never told anyone this, but the one person that knew I trusted so much. He was the only one I could tell. I wanted to tell Crystal too, but I couldnât. She wouldnât be calm about this at all. She would react first and then comfort me, and I couldnât have that at all.
âFuck, Tony what time is it?â
âI donât know mama like 9:45 or something like thatâ
I pushed his covers back and got up from the bed trying to find my phone. Tony got up too trying to figure out why I was in such a hurry. I had to leave. It was almost ten at night and I told Andre I would be home by 8:30. He was going to flip.
âShelly baby, calm down. What are you looking for?â
âMy phone, I have to goâ
âWhat? Shelly you think Iâm gone let you go back there?â Are you out your mind?â
âTony, I canât do this I told him I would be home at 8:30. Itâs almost 10:00. If Iâm not home soon heâs gonna-â
He cut me off from my ranting. I stopped moving and sighed.
âHe hitting you too Shelly?â
âNo, heâs not hitting me Tony, itâs just gonna make everything worse. I just need to goâ
âNo, youâre staying here with me for the nightâ
âBut nothing Iâll handle AndrĂŠ, he wonât suspect a thing Shelly. Just relax. Iâll handle itâ
âBut i donât have anything I need here. How am I gonna go to school tomorrow?â
âMy sister left a few of her clothes here after she moved, Iâm sure her closet has something you could wearâ
âTony are you sure about this?â
âPositive. Youâre scared shitless of your own brother and Iâm not just gonna stand here and let it happen. I promised I wouldnât say anything but Ian bout to just watch this shit happenâ
Tears welled up in my eyes again
He grabbed me and pulled into a tight hug.
âI just really appreciate this Tonyâ
âMama as long as Iâm around you ainât gotta worry about shitâ
