So he remained silent. For a while. Having someone else here was somewhat nice but he would've just stayed with Syntax if he'd known this turn into some sort of pathetic show about his feelings and grief.

Zhen didn't really care what this guy did, not entirely at least. Wasn't his business to pry unless it directly affected what he was trying to do. And he figured that this was going to be as good as he was going to get right now, taking a long sip of his tea after setting a cup down for the other. Sometimes silence was the better option then trying to continue to fill it with needless words.

"That is fine with me, now is there anything you want? Now Vin has some good teas and possibly some wine tucked away around here." If he was going to have this guy with him might as well try to be a decent host and help them figure out what they wanted.

"Are you sure Vin won't realise that some of his tea is missing?"

"If I let you stay here with me until Vin comes back you have to give me your word you won't harm anyone here. I've been in your shoes, not having a purpose and not knowing who you are after everything. and having an extra hand to help protect this place will be helpful."

"...Fine. You have my word. That is until Vin comes back, then I will take my leave and the deal is no more."

Zhen knew what it was like, to walk without a purpose. but he had managed to find a new one, to see if that kid could prove him wrong on if this world was worth fighting for. And so far Lumos, Vin and the others had done just that. they had helped him begin to see that maybe there was more to this world and he wanted to see it.

He couldn't live peacefully, as chaos was all he'd ever known. He couldn't get a normal job, they frustrated him to no end. He was stuck, with not knowing who he was or what he wanted. He didn't even have a name for himself, he'd forgotten the name he possessed before.

For a moment, his facade slipped. Irritation painted his words. He didn't want to see any of the Wukongs, his or this versions.

"I don't believe you. You're saying you wouldn't want the pride of knowing you destroyed such an object? a new purpose in life?" Zhen knew what it was like, to walk without a purpose. but he had managed to find a new one, to see if that kid could prove him wrong on if this world was worth fighting for. And so far Lumos, Vin and the others had done just that. they had helped him begin to see that maybe there was more to this world and he wanted to see it.

"Wouldn't going to find sunset and trying to destroy the staff be a far better use of your time instead of just staying here on a mountain?"

"What interest would I have in Sunset? It'd be a waste of my time and energy."

Saying what the plan was now still wouldn't give away all the details, just enough to keep them interested and not causing trouble. And it wasn't like he was lying, He truly didn't know where Lumos was now nor did he know where sunset went either. he just knew what their plan was, the only one he had a somewhat concrete idea of where they were was Vin but it was going to take time for them to return. And until then the less bad people that knew what happened the better...

Now he had no idea where they went, where Sunset was now and he couldn't leave the mountain until Vin managed to make their way back here.
