Sometimes you read a story that resonates with you, touching your soul on a deep, primary, molecular level—the level of all-creation. It leaves that something within you that you carry for days. Science calls that something endorphins; I call it the astral euphoria. Sometimes you read something light and soft, and almost silly. That kind of fic leaves you giggly and tender in that adorably ridiculous way I find charming. And sometimes these two align, forming a force that leaves a soulful imprint, like a footprint in the snow.

I enjoy both. Ideally, when they come together in that peculiar dance of semantic structures. But even when I encounter them individually, I still cherish and try to preserve the blessing. Because I do consider such an imprint on my essence – a blessing. Due to the nature of my occupation and absolute lack of free time, I rarely get to read fic, and it's usually my friends who send me recommendations. I almost never search fic on AO3 feed, so whenever I find some good stories naturally, in the wild, it always feels like I've found a treasure chest.

Shatter Your Illusions felt familiar on the fine energy level right away. At first, I wasn't sure if I had already read it but had forgotten, but as I continued reading, I realized that wasn't the case—somehow, it felt deeper and more personal, too. When I received the author's reply to the comment I left [I always leave comments if the fic touches me, and I encourage you to do the same because it always, always uncovers something beautiful], I learned that this fic was inspired by my Udonverse. That instantly explained why specific parts of the story felt so familiar. But more importantly, it left me totally and astonishingly speechless because never in my life had I imagined writing something that would not only resonate with people but also inspire them to catch that surge of energy and wield it, channeling it to illuminate their own path and creating their own "life" on it, using its sparks.

This is the most beautiful thing in the creative realm, in my opinion. Science calls it the collective unconscious; I call it merging our microcosms into a shared egregore. And this is why it is so important to engage with content creators whose work you admire. Because energy generates energy, and when you're “feeding” a certain energy with similar one, you empower its field, making it broader—you create a vast, mighty current that is capable of carrying even more souls, and if that doesn't fill you with a sense of delight, I don't know what will. This is the purest and most selfless thing available to everyone for free.

By empowering content creators, you empower yourself. You know what they say—if you want to change the world, start with yourself. So, if you want to live in a kinder world, start spreading kindness. Even if it's just something that you might consider irrelevant, like leaving a heart emoji under a fic. Do it. Got back to that fic you left kudos on, and leave an emoji or a thank you. This isn't about the words you use; it is about the energy you transmit. You never know if your contribution might be the final push the creator needs to "level up" and gain that extra boost for creating something new. And you never know if it might turn into something that triggers a chain of events inspiring you. Either way, I can promise you one thing: by “feeding” energy similar energy, you are helping to create incredible things in this world. But remember, it goes both ways: positive and negative energy. That's why it's so important to spread kindness, because statistically, the energy field of hate carries a stronger charge, and we need to work a bit harder to balance it out.

Today, more and more fic authors suffer from hateful comments, often accusing them of using generative AI, and it deeply wounds my soul to see folks stop writing and abandon their creative side. Today, more than ever, we need to come together if we want to preserve this beautiful thing. Hype the creators! Commission your favorite artists! Write comments on the fic you enjoyed!
