watching thekla vs slk and walker stewart making a point re this feud being about thekla's hatred towards stardom's idol culture is so good and much more interesting than anything that was explicitely said by any of the aew people lol
a bit upset that this feud was sort of reduced to interpersonal stuff (although i thought the buildup was very good on both sides!! thekla definitely put in the work) when this story regarding the idol aspects of joshi wrestling culture was right here! and couldve been explored more!!
I'm just saying that if I had a nickel for every time I read a Tumblr post or an AO3 fic or sth about Kris Statlander where the author thought they had some insight into her character, but had actually somehow unwittingly peered directly into my soul and psyche, unraveled a part of the mystery of me and wrote it down for all to see, then kept it in because it incidentally also fit Stat's whole deal pretty well, I'd have a concerning amount of nickels
