                      it didn’t take much to make someone like ochako laugh. because of her very child like manners at times, her sense of humor wasn’t anything complicated. in fact, it was pretty simple.    ❝  well, it sure was something funny !! i gotta wonder if maybe that means you’ve got that same kind of humor in you, tokoyami-kun !!  ❞

finally answers this bc tbh i forgot about it. not that i... still have a proper answer because of how little we’ve really gotten to see dark shadow?? i’m torn honestly on whether or not it can but it definitely doesn’t need to. energy, etc, are all drawn from tokoyami & so it doesn’t require a source of energy for itself.

ever since his quirk manifested, he’s been incredibly sensitive to his own appearance. he hates to see his own reflection & actively avoids it. it’s a source of massive self-esteem issues to have such an inhuman face. it’s the first thing people notice about him, & though mutation quirks are common enough it’s still hard. he doesn’t like looking so obviously different. it does make him feel far more comfortable around those with similar quirks / side effects, & when joining UA, befriended those students first.
