I'm working on the details on my Hinata shoes and I broke 5 needles just trying to sew on the tongue. 🤦‍♀️ I have finally figured out how to make it work without breaking but this has been a painful process today. My poor hands. 😅 Now that I know how to do it, tomorrow should be better though. 🙏 The details were drawn and cut out on paper and then traced on this red pleather which I'm gluing and hand sewing in place. I almost can't believe it's been over a year since the start of my clothing brand journey. A bit has changed in one year while at the same time it may seem like not much has happened. 😅 Especially since I'm not good at documenting my progress. There are lots of things to consider when starting up a brand! Oof. That's why it's taking so long. Finding artists and manufacturers and such (that don't make me into Edward Elric) are hard to find. If you know anything about starting a business, it's just A LOT. And I've barely scratched the surface. 😬 I'm so happy that in the past year I've finalized my brand name, @AurumVivum, and logo. But most of my progression this year wasn't something you could just take a photo of which is why I haven't been posting much. I've learned a lot about sewing and shirt printing and social media and streetwear and starting a business and soooo much more. What's really exciting is what's to happen in the new year! We'll be moving to Provo, Utah for Oliver's law school and I'll be starting school again as a business major! 🙌 This will help me in my entrepreneurial endeavors and career path.
