nick has a flip phone and his mom family coerced him into making an instagram he can barely use. as a result, he has five photos on it: two of his family and three from a photography class he took in college before dropping out ( he named the collection ‘ modern D.K. ’ ). his bandcamp link leads to nowhere.

it isn’t so much that nick is immortal as he is a carrier of a different strain of the virus that lives in everyone. in a way , it’s poetic irony , isn’t it ? not quite living , not quite dead – feels like that’s how nick’s always been

he looks dead – but not quite rotting. this is a combination of the strain’s effect as well as nick’s own attempts at reducing decay

he has a theory that he could jump start the systems in his body that have shut down , but without someone with medical training / the right equipment , it seems unlikely he’ll ever know

the dead recognize him as one of them , so now his only threat is the living , but , uh , what’s new am i right ?

his voice sounds rougher , like he has strep throat and his movement is generally stiffer

ftwd was a look at how the world turned , watching the chaos unfold – how poetic if this were the series that pointed to a potential “ cure ” or way beyond simply adapting / surviving ??

we’ve seen so many pieces of media where a main character who deals with substance abuse / suicide / mental illness dies and people acting like that’s a “ natural ” progression and FUCK THAT !!!!! imagine the power of ftwd for being like , psych , this character who has danced with death for so long actually has within him the source of life and living through what no one else can

GOD JUST ALL THE “ FORSHADOWING ” OF NICK WALKING AMONG THE DEAD WITHOUT BEING ONE LIKE IMAGINE THE PARALLEL GIFSETS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE QUOTE “ I MOVE AMONG THEM , MOM. INVISIBLE. I WILL NOT DIE ” !!!!!!!
