I get that the manga is very silly and targeted towards a younger audience, so the characters and interactions aren’t as fleshed out like other mangas. But I want to see the tension with how an egotistical, higher ranking and status person has to lower themselves to people whom he’d definitely affected and or hurt.

You can’t just randomly use your younger brother as a replacement leader for your team right after his was just introduced into the competitive scene and immediately run off to do random side gigs. What about all the implications behind that?

Wish more fics would acknowledge this. Still think he’s a very cool and lovable character tho.

I doubt it happened though because of the recent leaks going around

SOO I hope Goggles does lose eventually in a way that’s impactful in the story but also shows his character development!

I think the BEST moment for this to happen is the grand fest, where Goggles who’s in team present loses, but Mitsuami wins, it’s a perfect wrap up for the Splatlands series because Mitsuami was able to win without him, and it shows her character development as well! That would be AMAZING‼️‼️

And also, I bet Marunomi would have been a girl if it weren’t for gakuran since they’re designs are VERY similar

I hope we get more women antagonists

And I really want more backstories for the coroika cast

Not any hate to coroika, just things I think would make it 100% more better then how it is right now‼️‼️🥹 I really like this series and I want it to improve even more :)

OPINION: Coroika peaked around the S4 + Emperor/OE arcs in terms of narrative (what little we get of it anyway). The Splat 3 arc had some interesting characters but the narrative feels like most of the events just happen just because.

another OPINION: Coroika needs less "villains" that turn into dumbed down version of themselves the instant they get beaten. It's slowly turning me away from reading the new chapters cause while the new characters are intimidating at first there is a good chance that once Goggles fights them they turn into idiots and lose their menacing aura immediately. Emperor and Wire are both great examples of this. Emperor was an intimidating foe and had some of the best panels in all of coroika to show it, but once TB beat him and he left only to return not long after (chapter wise) and he is now just one of the many characters marked for humor. Wire is the same but worse in my opinion. I just wished we could spend a bit more time/chapters seeing their growth from "villains" to rivals then it just being a switch. Like give Emperor some time to be bitter about such a grand loss before growing into how he is now. Yes. I know it's a manga primarily targeted to younger kids but it's no excuse for kids to have some good media to read.

(not saying all the fanfics where the characters of colour get hurt or killed are racist, most of them are fine. and the ratio of nonracist fics to racist fics are like 100:1 )

idk i just want more variety of characterisation in the fics for darker skinned characters
