So, I got hold of the entire 1983 NBC All-Star Hour (thanks, anon) and proceeded to edit it to the Cheers-related bits.  As silly as these clips may seem, I assure you, in comparison to the rest of the special, they are genius.  Also, there are actually some really nice Sam and Diane moments and amusing/odd interactions with other stars to enjoy.  It could almost be considered a lost “episode”, much like the savings bond short, since they start and finish at Cheers, and the whole special is Diane’s dream.  Or is it?  Either way, I’ve got some questions…

This, months after the horrible break-up the two of them shared that led Diane to a mental intstitution and Sam back on the bottle, this was what both of them needed. To face their fear of seeing each other again. The look they share says more than words can do. This, is a favorite look
