it's an old curse

as a child that was born in a extremely conservative town, in a extremely conservative, religious, sexist, homophobic and misogynistic country, I was raised under the dissmisive speech of “we know better than you”. It didn’t matter that I came out as queer at the age of 16, “I was going to grow out of it”. It didnt matter that I had known for several years the career path I wanted to persue, “I didn’t know any better and I wasn’t going to feel the same way when I was older”. If I said I didn’t want bilogical children, “you will change your mind” and that was my life. So imagine my surprise when 10 to 12 years later, Harry comes out of nowhere and suddenly whispers the magic words in my ear for the very first time in my life: “I don’t believe that time will change your mind”. When I say I almost fainted I’m not even kidding. I was raised and I grew up believing I actually didn’t know any better, that I didn’t have a say even in my own life.
