"the mc from bucchigiri sucks/is terrible/is an awful person" yeah, that's the point. running from and denying the meaningful relationship he had with another boy has shaped him into being an insecure and selfish person. he refuses to form relationships with other boys because he feels inferior to them. this is why he rejects matakara, not because he dislikes him or even that he thinks his ideals are stupid, but because he knows matakara is a stronger and better person than he is, so why would someone like that need arajin? in that way, he idolizes matakara to the point where he can't stand the fact that matakara looks up to someone like him, a liar and a weakling. rather than being immediately honest about his weakness, arajin tries to cut off matakara with the least amount of pain, because he's a coward. arajin sucks, but not because he's a malicious or even a completely oblivious asshole. his lack of consideration for matakara's feelings is more about how arajin feels unworthy of him
