okay here's something i thought of: what if. toriel has no hair, but asgore does. so growing up, asgore would cut asriel and kris's hair for them, so young kris ALWAYS had a clean cut. after the divorce though, toriel's focus wasn't really kris's hair, and instead of looking up tutorials or reading books like intelligent specimen (ex. berdly), they attempt to cut their own hair but are lazy with it so it grows out and has split ends and whatnot
