Two Sides of the Same Coin

Chris laughed and nodded. “I know right. I can’t stand it. My friend says that it’s thirty degrees in Devon and here we are, freezing.” He made a face.

“Even the hot weather over here isn’t that hot, so this weather really sucks! Perhaps I should move to Devon. Do they have a decent Uni there?” He joked. 

“Suppose it’s the only attitude I have.”

“Then that’s kind of sad.” 

“Quite simply not be able to suck your dick.”

“I’m not quite sure you understand what a scientific experiment is.”

“Don’t worry, I have no prior engagements.” She said with a shrug, leaning against the ledge that was just behind her. “They can reduce some people to tears. I don’t have any interest in asking around on campus to see if you’re liked, I’ve never been to a party that’s reliant on you to make it decent but i’m sure you’re very important. In your own head that is. If you weren’t so big headed you might actually be deemed attractive.”

“Well, then by all means. Please carry on trying to upset me with your insults even though you never will succeed,” Cooper replied, the amused smile still playing on his lips. “I’m sure you’ve been to many a party that’s had my involvement. You just don’t know it. Most parties have the Cooper touch.” He made it sound he was bragging on purpose, despite the fact that there was a lot of truth to it. “I may not be conventionally attractive, but, there’s no denying that I don’t have a certain charm about me. 

She had to muffle a snort at his comment, but she collected herself as he chose his prize, and she couldn’t argue with food. “I can work with that. All right, it’s decided. First person to soak the other’s chest wins a sub and the loser strips. Let’s do this,” she concluded as she held out her hand to shake and make it all official.

Cooper nodded in response to the conditions she stated and shook her hand. “So, how are we going to start this? Cowboy style? Or we each have ten seconds to gets some distance from each other and find defensive ground?”

“What else do you want to get out of this? I picked the punishment, you pick the reward. I can’t do all the thinking here.”

“I thought you were the brains and I was the beauty, but alright. Let me think. The winner gets a footlong from Subway bought by the loser because I’m really craving a Sub right now.” 

Her smile softened into a mischievous curve when he asked. “Well, rather than mindless drenching, we need a goal and a punishment. Goal: First person to soak the other at the center of their chest,” she instructed as she lifted her gun to block her own in case he got smart, “wins. Loser has to stroll across campus in their underwear.”

“Wouldn’t be the first time,” Cooper commented with a laugh at the mention of the punishment. “What does the winner get? Other than the pleasure and amusement of seeing the other person in their underwear?”

“Will you be the control then?”

“And what exactly will I have to do as the control?”

“No! I can’t be specific. That’d be too easy for you, love.” Eden grinned widely a giggled a bit as she spoke, finding the conversation fun. “You’ve got to figure it out on your own.”

“Well, that’s not fair. I don’t even know your name yet,” Cooper replied with a large smile of his own. “I never back down from a challenge, though. Would a burger and a shake do the trick?” 

“No, I’m pretty sure you’re the only Cooper I know,” she grinned at him, shaking her head. “Oh, shut up. You know you’re smart or else I wouldn’t have agreed to work on this project with you.”

“If you think I’m smart that clearly you don’t know much about my reputation around here,” Cooper answered. Yes, he knew he was smart. He had been a child genius. Cooper just didn’t want anyone else to know he was smart. “I’m the guy who must cheat because there’s no other way I could be top of my class.” 

She took no offense to his pervy little comment, grinning as a wonderful new idea came to her in time for her to be armed against him. 

Cooper raised an eyebrow, intrigued. His hand ready on the trigger of his water pistol for when the water fight began. Her words could just be a ploy so she could catch him off guard. “I’m all for making things a little more interesting. What do you have in mind?”

“Nothing, you’re just eons less desirable in several different ways.” She said with a bored shrug, blinking at him. “Yes, you’re really that podgy. It’s not fat per says, it’s…rotund, soft, squidgy. Like memory foam. When someone fucks you do they leave an indentation in your stomach? Actually no, that would imply someone found you attractive enough to fuck.” She said, her eyes running the length of him as she stuck her tongue out the corner of her mouth slightly. “First time for everything, although with your proclaiming your nationality before your even fully in the room no one will have that problem. They’ll just have the problem of finding you insufferable, but I guess that’s going to happen anyway.”

“I have to congratulate your effort, but I really would stop bothering,” Cooper said with an amused grin. “I mean, your insults are very colourful and very imaginative and I’m sure they reduce some people to tears. Unfortunately, your insults have no effect on me.” He said honestly. In truth, Cooper never took to heart anyone’s insults. They all bounced straight off him. His father's words had already done the damage anyone else's could. “Besides, I’m rather well-liked on campus. You ask around, most people know my name. It’s certainly not a party unless I’ve worked my magic on it somehow. But please, go ahead with your misguiding judgements. They are rather entertaining.” 

“Then it’s a good thing this baby isn’t see-through,” she stated, once again holding out her hand as she mentally prepared for this battle. “My tip to you, though: Shield your face. I am not a woman of mercy.”

“It might be a good thing for you, but not for me,” Cooper joked cheekily. “I should hope not! I like to have a worthy opponent and would be most disappointed if you turned out to be anything less.” He said as he pulled out his second water gun and placed it in her outstretched hand.

“You wanna test that out?”

“As a student of science, I’m always intrigued by an experiment.” 

“I have a feeling it would be a shit one even if you did.”

“That a rather pessimistic attitude. We can’t be having that.” 

Maddie gave a delighted squeal, shifting to stand next to the male and peer down at the phone. “Oh yep…yes, that’s him. God I almost feel bad for him in this photo…he needs to be retired and watching soap operas from the comfort of a recliner.”

“You do get some Professors who just refuse to retire,” Cooper commented, craning his neck so he can see the picture once more. Whoever have drawn over the original picture was rather skilled. “You have to admit, though, he does make a rather beautiful Princess.” 

“Or sucking it.”

“Who exactly is doing the sucking here? Because it would be very impressive if you could suck your own dick.”
