FIDLAR - "No Waves"

Last night, I went down to U.S. Cellular Field for the second game of the Sox/Cubs crosstown series.  I was not necessary in the mood to go because I knew the forecast was calling for heavy rain.  However, I did not want to let down my sister since the ticket she was selling to me was at a highly discounted price. 

Our night in the left field bleachers came to a halt three innings into the game when a torrential downpour of rain came from the sky.  We scurried out of our seats and tried finding my brother and his friend while quickly becoming soaked from head to toe.  Having my raincoat did not matter.  After a few minutes, we spotted my brother and his friend and decided to make our way down to the bullpen bar to take shelter and wait out the storm. 

As I stood there staring out at the field, I knew the storm was not going to let up anytime soon.  I decided to split after about an hour of waiting.  When I left the bullpen bar, I noticed the exit ramp area was flooded.  I ran through the water and was finally outside the park, caught in the middle of the storm.  The sky was filled with lighting and thunder as I made my way back to parking lot L near Pershing Avenue. 

I had to run through three flooded parking lots while the rain continued to come down in buckets and I found my car by following the sound of my alarm.  Every single item of clothing I was wearing was completely soaked.  It was as if I was a sponge and someone dipped me in a cold bucket of water.  I was bummed the game was canceled, but running frantically through the rain for those 10-15 minutes made everything better.
