Its not so much morals for me but more so in that Hellen as a character doesn't necessarily meet the bare minimum requirements for what it takes to be a mother anyhow. Like I wont go too deep on it because I know if I do it might attract some trad wife Hellen truthers (EW😭) but the main thingy for me is that Hellen doesn't like being tied down and like not to sound mean but deadass having a kid is a full blown commitment, it does not matter how much you may love your kid, its about resources, its about being there for every single activity that they do and being an active presence in their life otherwise you will become estranged to them.

You can't just have a kid and dip that's not how that works and that is Hellen as a person. She's a person who doesn't want that kind of commitment in her life, she very much likes having autonomy and refuses to be dictated by others, she in fact hates it. This intense desire for complete autonomy in her life is why she has her bloodlust drawback to begin with, it's one of the few things that actively tie her down. It's why, spoilers for her promise ending, she moves around. She's nomadic because she needs to kill to satiate that bloodlust, she needs to murder as much as she can before she has to move once suspicion rises. All for the sake of not letting her bloodlust totally consume her therefore losing control.

And to people trying to bring up the plant baby, that baby was the most metaphorical baby ever, it being a baby genuinely didn't even wholly matter but it did make its significance and what it represents stick. It was not her underlying desire to be a maternal figure (actual gross ass sentiment I saw in regards to that again EW BRUH😭) but it was quite the opposite, she aborted that thing with absolutely no remorse and it freed her in a sense (NOT IN A HAVING BABIES WAY BUT IN A BURDEN BEING TAKEN OFF YOU WAY)

But her killing the plant baby was her satiating her desire to kill Sam, her expressing how much her relationship with Sam means to her by showing herself at her most vulnerable by letting him participate in the most personal and intimate aspect of herself: murdering.

And it was again another exercise in control. She's controlling and actively culling her desire to kill Sam, she's controlling who gets to actively know of her status and identity as a murderer and she's once again taking control of her desire and need to kill.
