WE MESSED UP.

The last post was made three months ago, how wild is that??  All of us mods were busy with our lives and had things going on and this blog slipped by our minds. But, to make up for our absence:

Sure thing, kid! Here’s a little tutorial for ya.

Cotton and I both use Paint Tool SAI2 for our editing.

Assuming you know the basics of grabbing the sprite and putting it together, and you’re just asking for the “sticker-like” border around our edits, i’ll skip most of the explaining and cut right to the chase.

So you got your sprite and your background:

This is how it looks on SAI2, but, you grab your wand-selection-tool:

Make sure it’s on Transparent Area. Click anywhere outside of your sprite on its own layer to select it, then, go up to Selection and click Invert Selection.

You’ll get something like this:

Now you’re gonna Dilate the selection, which is essentially just make what you have selected, bigger, but in the same shape!

How big you want the border to be is up to your preference. But from here, just make a layer under your sprite and fill the selection in with the fill bucket.
