(another universe) undertale...but the monsters are monstrously sized

some ppl have been asking me for some of my processes when i make my weird lil creations. well a few months back i was making some tweaks to some of them and one of the most noticeable changes is vertex painting and messing around with the indexed colors. i throw my textures in grayscale before i start painting to make the processes a lot easier.

i messed around with the vert paint for noelle to give her more of a sick/weathered look in accordance to some of bloodborne's beast designs. i don't think texture paint alone would have given the dead look full justice.

there's an angel of death feeling to her design too. the weathered hair, the white robe with dirtied edges. but given the weird route implications she's more of a machine of death.
