Young Samurai...

To learn and transcend. I set out with my son to walk 400 miles thru the north of Spain. I wanted him to experience the ancient art of walking, traveling thru paths we had never crossed before, to absorb and meditate on being a citizen of earth....to open the eyes to the infinite possibilities...to give wings to the soul....

Holy...

Our journey is almost complete. We are but a short distance from our destination. Two small efforts and we will be arriving at the cathedral where the remains of St James are said to rest. Today we will land at Monte Do Gozo. From there we will be able to see the spirals of the cathedral we have sought for weeks. All of our efforts will manifest itself in the horizon, giving form to our quest. The nature, the smells, the songs of birds, the morning fog, the sweat of our brow will be a memory in our hearts, a cup to drink forever from.

Heavenly Blue....

Most of our journey has transpired and as we move forward we meditate on the motions of walking. Going beyond mental and physical limits a catalyst is met. You walk to the sound of your staff striking the earth and the cycle of your breath, you hear it leaving you, and then weaving back into your core. It propels you forward and awakens a translucent and imagined spiritual structure that leads you......

Pensive Sky....

Spain is resplendent. There are words that can describe it; verdant, ardent, fertile. It's historical roots are deep, the blood shed tumultuous. It's mountains are high and the ocean deep. The fruit from the earth flowers with beauty and poise. The trees soar and paint the sky. This is land.

The light....

The sun rays crucify you with a relentless pulse, like lances drinking your force. Walking without the cover of clouds, dripping like a vertical river, you dissipate like the ocean's horizon. Your essence steams into the atmosphere and you breath in the air, the self that once was enters you again to become the moment.
