I don’t know an exact number yet since it still heavily depends on how much work my dad can get in the next few days and whether my grandma will be able to take out a loan from the bank for us…

It’s officially due on May 21 but because of it being a long weekend, we’d probably have to send the money off around May 17 at the latest

He told me the other day that IF everything goes well, if he gets a lot of work and my grandma can get the loan, then we should be able to pay and not be evicted…

If she can’t get the loan we might be around $3,000 - $3,500 short…

If money from other sources such as my dad’s job fails or if we calculated something incorrectly then we could possibly even be a bit more short, and I don’t know what to do then if we are… I don’t know who else we could possibly borrow money from. A huge saving grace to us is that my friend loaned us $3,000 USD that we will return to him as soon as we can. If we end up being short, I wish I had another person like that who we could borrow from, who trusted that we’d return it, but I don’t really have any other friends and definitely not family…

My grandma was denied a bank loan the first time she asked bc of her old age, but tomorrow she’s going to try again and has a friend that is willing to sign some kind of warranty thing for her (idk if that’s what it’s called in English) which means that if my grandma is unable to pay off the loan (such as by passing away… ;-; ), then the loan will be paid by the friend who signed the warranty. It’s incredibly kind of the friend to offer to do this and MIGHT make it more likely for the bank to give my grandma a loan but we will find out for sure tomorrow…

We’re still on incredibly thin ice but I’m really really hoping we can do this. Idk if we’re actually close to doing it or if my dad is just telling me that we will be able to do it to make me feel better… Bc my mom on the other hand, is very pessimistic about it and is terrified that we will not be able to do it

I’m still hoping on some kind of miracle… I don’t want to lose everything.. We have a solid plan for a much better life and how to get out of this predicament with the shitty loan shark but it’s only possible if we don’t get evicted. We have to pay off the thing and then sell the house and only then will we be able to ensure this never happens again
