I still need a new boyfriend but thats not on the supplies list. Ooh lets go shopping together then! I need more purple pens.

Because hugs are the best! So are you as not ready for school as I am?

I still need to get a new backpack, so very unprepared. 

The classes were sort of hard but it was definitely worth it! Uh, I liked the kids. They liked giving hugs! They were so adorable too.

Why am I not surprised? I know that you absolutely love hugs. 

I moved between Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia. Pretty much it was part internship part study so I got credit for both. I taught English and learned about nonprofit management and got to help out building orphanages and schools.

You had the most awesome summer that I think I’ve ever heard of. What was your favourite part?

Yeah. He knows enough Greek to hold a conversation, but he’s not exactly fluent yet.

You guys should pick a language that neither of you know, and take classes together. Like a intellectual date night. 

Yay for mobility! And yeah I did a study abroad in Southeast Asia. It was so, so, so amazing!

That is so cool. Where did you go? What did you study?

I did! Holton did most of the talking, though.

Well that makes sense, I’m sure you did most of the talking in Greece. 

[smiles and takes another picture] How was your summer?

It was really nice, got the whole walking thing under control now. Did you do anything exciting? 

That’s definitely the worst.

Did you use your Russian language skills in Russia? 

Constance! You look gorgeous!

[Gives him a quick kiss on the cheek] So do you!

Holton taught me since I taught him Greek. I think it was the hardest language for me to learn, actually.

I just hate having to learn different alphabets. 

Do you know any Russian? I could teach you.

Oh I speak it, after the car accident I started tutoring people in it. Just to pass the time while I was learning to walk again. 

We spent the most time in Saint Petersburg, but we went to Novosibirsk too.

I would love to go to Russia, I’m thinking of going there next summer.

New York, not so much. Jersey, kinda. I’d still rather be in Greece. Or Russia. Holton and I went to Russia.

What part of Russia?
