So have had several people messaging me with questions about the lifestyle and although am certainly not an expert am always more than happy to try and help as much as I can. For me there are some basic red flags to look for if your a submissive searching for a Dom. Firstly a real Dom will not try and dominate you straight away, he will not expect you to submit immediately, instead knowing that submission must be earned, he will not demand you address him as sir or master, until you developed more of a connection and also he will treat you with respect and actually try and get to know you. We should all look out for each other within this lifestyle and also try and educate people that kink/BDSM is not about abuse or the way it’s portrayed in 50 shades or porn. Although of course it involves punishments, spanking, restraints, gags, canes, absolutely filthy hardcore fun, it’s also about respect, trust and developing a true connection with another person. It’s about allowing someone to reveal there deepest, darkest fantasies and explore and experiment within a safe and protected environment. Submissive’s are not weak people in fact most of the subs I’ve know have been strong, powerful, independent women, who just choose to give up their power to those who deserve it. For me there is no more pure and deep connection than between a Dom and his sub and no not all Doms stand around in suits all the time looking miserable some of us actually smile:P
