THE FEELS
Because I can't wait till tomorrow to take a better photo... Got this bad boy touched up today & I love it even more. So happy to have this on my body for the rest of my life. Yes, it's Simba from the Lion King. Not only is the Lion King one of the best Disney movies, but also the message Rafiki relays to Simba in that movie: "Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it you can either run from it or learn from it". That not only means don’t change yourself for others. It also means that you can’t change your past. You just have to accept it and move on. (at Adrenaline Vancity Tattoos and Piercings)

Ok I know I don't come on here much anymore & when I do I just rant. But sometimes this is the only place I feel "safe" to rant. So here it goes... I have this "friend", we'll call him Jim. Now Jim and I met idk even know when but I think it was almost a year ago now. It started off like any other friendship these days, with a few text messages or messages on Twitter, then evolved into more frequent conversations. Fastforward to more recently, and every time Jim texts me I get super angry (90% of the time anyway). He thinks it's "funny" to put me down or make fun of a decision I have made or whatever the case may be, or my favourite, he argues at who's doing better in life. Like who does that shit?! But he makes me feel like shit nontheless. Yesterday was the boiling point for me, I don't even know why this bothered me SO much yesterday. But I'm getting a new tattoo next month which I'm super pumped about and I posted such on Twitter. Jim of course had something to say about it & it wasn't necissarily nice. He just put the roll eyes emoji and that was it. Like I'm sorry, what? He eventually played it off as he was just giving me shit for fun & annoyingly said sorry. I didn't buy it the first time he was sorry, I didn't buy it yesterday. I haven't texted him since that conversation & I don't know if I really want to. But it's sad because we HAVE had really good conversations in between the bullshit ones. I don't know what to do. Help!

'Cause I'm on top of the world, waiting on this for a while now 💙
I've been thinking a lot lately about death and losing loved ones, especially my parents. They're the most important people I'll ever have in my life. I lost my dad (as I've talked about many times) almost 8 years ago now and it's still hard to even talk about it. I still feel in the back of my mind like he's just on some long fishing trip. That's the only way to look at it without it being real, and sad. With my mom, she's still kickin' it and just stayed with me for the weekend. It was a great few days. Nowadays we don't get to spend nearly as much time as we'd like to together because we live so far apart, but when we get together boy do things get crazy (in a good way of course). A conversation we had which was kind of depressing, but needed to be had really, was what I'd do when my moms "time comes". I honestly have dreamt about it many times and always woke up in a panic. For some reason I always think it's true and call one of my sisters or my mom HOPING she'll be on the other end of the line. Which she usually is. But in reality, I have no idea what I'd do without my mom. Yes, my dad and I were pals and I miss him daily. But my mom and i's relationship is different, special even. She knows me so well that with a simple sigh she knows something's up and will question me immediately. And I know HER so well that I'll question HER If I know something's bothering her. It goes both ways. Like she keeps saying lately, we take care of each other, the way it should be. Without her I wouldn't know what to do with myself half the time. I call her daily & just see how she's doing, talk about my day etc. Or if something's bothering me I usually vent to her about it and she helps me through it. So basically without her, I'd be lost. I'm not prepared to be lost any time soon so MOM, DONT GO ANYWHERE ANYTIME SOON KTHX. And dad, keep popping into my dreams ANY time. It's nice to see your face sometimes. He even tells me straight up to smarten up in most dreams he's in so there's that. 😂❤️. Did I mention I love my parents?
Missing this lady right about now ❤️ mama bear
One thing that I got from my mother that I'm not particularly fond of is her guilt. After making a decision, or after doing something wrong we like to dwell on it and feel guilty. Whether the decision was right or wrong doesn't matter. There's always a sense of guilt. Like right now for instance, I'm planning to go home tomorrow & then my mom says "you can stay an extra day or 2". So then my mind races with different scenarios and such. I broke down in tears just at the thought of hurting my moms feelings by going home tomorrow, or by cancelling plans I had on Thursday to stay a few extra days. In the end I decided to go home tomorrow regardless cause let's be real, I'll be a blubbering mess either way. I'd rather have a few days to be this way then just less than 24 hours. Sigh welcome into my messed up brain. ✌️

Yesterday was a tough day. I had one of my little meltdowns which was fun (feeling like shit and such). But it got made worse with some family news which is still hard to even process. Talking to a friend I got to talk about some stuff which helped a lot but I'm still reeling from yesterday. If I seem distant today or in the next couple days, don't worry I'm ok. Just dealing with a lot. ❤️
